"I wanted to have a new pool filter pump installed. I talked to Paul and he told me not to waste my money on an expensive Variable Speed Pump. So, I decided to go with a Pentair High Efficient Pump. The pump was delivered in about 3 days. The technician installed it the following day in about 45 minutes. After that I noticed that the electrical connection was cracked. So, I asked Sun Blue if they could replace it. The next day the technician came and changed out the electrical connection to a new one (no charge). The original pump and install was $800. I would call them again without hesitation."

"Roger came up to my Fort Lauderdale home on a Tuesday evening and I had my granite counter top installed on Friday afternoon!!!!!! They did a great job!!!!!! They were on time and cleaned up after they installed the countertop- most contractors in South Florida are late and don't clean up their mess. I would give them 10 stars!!!!!!! Quality work and affordable price. I highly recommend Golden Hammer for granite countertop installation."

"It has been a pleasure working with The Grove Handyman?s crew. Our kitchen floor needed structural repair from old water damaged joists. We contracted them for the entire job including removal of old floor and damaged pieces and reconstruction so kitchen would be prepped for new cabinets and appliances. The initial plan was modified as new things were discovered along the way. We initially had planned to install porcelain tiles in the new kitchen floor extending it to the adjacent Florida room. When removing the tiles in the Florida room we discovered the original hardwood floors underneath. We decided to maintain the hardwood floor, which meant repairing it, sanding and covering it with polyurethane. While working on the kitchen floor, we discovered a leak from the adjacent small bathroom that had damaged the bathroom floor. We decided to fix the bathroom leak, replace the floor and replace the wall tiles on the small bathroom.
Roger responded our first call right away, met and discussed with us our needs and presented us with a detailed proposal immediately after that. He gave us a date when he could start the work and a very good estimate on date of completion. He and his crew showed up on the agreed date and worked consistently until work was finished meeting the deadline. We appreciated their flexibility as new discoveries were found and new work decisions were made. The crew worked very well together, they were very pleasant, friendly, courteous and skilled, and very conscientious of keeping things clean in the midst of construction. Roger would always discuss options with us whenever decisions had to be made and gave us great suggestions. The flow of communication was great and allowed the work to move smoothly forward. The work was finished on time and ready for the day appliances were delivered and cabinets installed.
We are very satisfied with the quality of the work and the manner in which it was delivered. We highly recommend the Grove Handyman and would definitely call him again for any work needed in our home. Thank you for a great job and a pleasant experience.

Sauna Installation questions, answered by experts

A home sauna may be considered a luxury item by some homebuyers, which can provide a good return on investment. However, whether it increases your home's value ultimately depends on the buyer, as some may not want to take on the extra costs and maintenance associated with heating and upkeep.

Most people will opt to put their home sauna outside near a pool or on a screened-in porch so the heat doesn’t move into the rest of the house. If your house has enough room, you may choose to put it in a bathroom so you can shower right after.

Both saunas and steam rooms offer some health benefits as well as a good return on investment. While there’s more research on saunas than steam rooms and fewer reported risks with steam rooms, the latter tend to be better for reducing stress. Which one is better depends on the benefits you’re looking for, your budget, and if you have space to build a sauna.

The primary difference between a steam shower and a sauna is the type of heat they produce. A sauna generates dry heat using electricity, while a steam shower creates wet heat from steam, resulting in nearly 100% humidity. A steam shower typically replaces an existing shower, has an opening at the top, and operates at a lower temperature (around 90-120°F) than a sauna, though the high humidity can make it feel just as warm. It is advisable to limit steam sessions to 20 minutes. In contrast, a sauna is a fully enclosed space that can be placed anywhere in a house and produces dry heat.

No, you should only choose high-quality wood to build your sauna. Not all types of woods can withstand the pressure from heat or moisture. Only use softwoods, such as cedar and aspen, that are known for absorbing heat and resisting water.
