Small jobs welcome

"Noel and his crew were on time and worked until the trees were removed. The yard and roof were cleaned and all limbs were removed. I would hire Blueline Tree Service again, the work was outstanding."

"The men who work for Sam's tree service are great guys, very friendly. I am extremely impressed with their courage and skill in taking down two large, old trees in my yard and grinding up the stumps. I will definitely call Sam again when I need to take another tree down, and I will definitely recommend Sam's Tree Service to my neighbors on both sides."

"Eddie was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. He went above and beyond what we originally agreed to just to make sure we were happy with the result. Communication was easy, the work was done carefully and professionally, and his pricing was very fair. I would strongly recommend calling Edward Tree Service for any tree work. Great experience all around."

"I have NEVER hired a more thorough, professional company! They are on time, their fees are very reasonable, and they are extremely conscientious and careful. I hired them to remove VERY large limbs from a 200-year-old oak tree and they arrived on time and did a marvelous job. Then I hired them to remove 50 years' growth of Mother-in-Law Tongue plants and they did even more than I asked them to do. These guys are honest, hard-working, pleasant, and so professional and thorough that I intend to write a "Hats Off" letter to "The Bradenton Herald" to shout their praises. MANY, MANY THANKS, MIGUEL FRANCISCO & HIS CREW!! You are most definitely the best tree & lawn service I've had in the 50 years I have lived in Bradenton."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

If a tree stump is removed properly, the chances of a tree growing back are low. However, if a tree has a robust root system, roots can sometimes sprout and someday grow into a tree. The chance of regrowth will depend on several factors such as the type of tree, soil quality, and strength of the root system. In general, it is not recommended to plant a tree where a stump was removed.

Local tree removal prices range from $200 to $2,000 overall, but vary depending on:

  • Local cost of labor and supplies

  • Accessibility of the tree

  • Local laws regarding who is allowed to remove the tree

  • The species of the tree (softer woods are often easier to remove)

  • Local seasonal discounts for the off-season

If it’s your property, then you can plant a tree near power lines, but it’s not the best idea. Any vegetation that grows within 10 feet or so of power lines will fall under the responsibility of the utility company, and they may trim or remove it as necessary. If you do move forward with your plan, try to choose a smaller ornamental tree, plant it as far away from the power lines as you can, and keep it trimmed to avoid future problems.

Yes, you can prune a palm tree with a chainsaw, but a chainsaw is overkill for a job like this. You risk damaging the tree if you make a bad cut. More commonly, you’ll need pruning shears or a serrated knife to trim a palm tree, or you can use a specialized pruning saw instead of a chainsaw.

Opt for a barefoot tree. Pros harvest barefoot trees when they’re dormant (leafless). They shake the dirt from the root ball and pack it in moist material.

These trees can cost half as much as the trees at your local nursery, and you can buy them online—so there’s a much wider selection. Just make sure you keep your barefoot tree cool until you’re ready to plant it.
