"Overall we were very pleased with the work. We have approx 170sqft of patio pavers in a screened enclosure that is 6yrs old. It had been power washed two times previously. We had some sinking in pavers in various places and the repairs were done with no problems. They actually removed and redid more pavers than anticipated and did an excellent job. We then had it power washed, and as expected it went well with some of the old rust stains not coming off as we also anticipated. Working around the weather the power washing/ sealing took longer than expected as they were very particular about having the pavers fully dry before sealing. We appreciated their thoroughness and care as we have heard horror stories of people applying the sealer when the pavers were not completely dry.
The sealer did not change the look of the pavers as dramatically as we anticipated but they do look a bit deeper in color and definitely look great after the powerwashing. The water does bead up when it rained and there is a bit of a sheen to the pavers. The biggest difference we notice is the sand does not get tracked into the house by our dogs as it did before. Only time will tell whether the sealer is the way to go. We were told it would last 2 - 2 1/2 years. As this is not a cheap thing to do we'll have to see whether we like it enough to spend that kind of money again. We were told that next time it would not take as much sealer but we'll see.
Overall we were very pleased with the work and all were very professional in their work."

"Great experience from start to finish. Crew was excellent. It was obvious that they have worked together for a while-very efficient, hard-working, and respectful. Took care to make sure sprinklers still worked. Cleaned up very well at end of project. Great result. Highly recommended."

Customers say: True professional

"This contractor was able to pour the concrete slabs for me as well as build a 30 x 26’ garage. Everything was to our standards and took time, but it came out great matching her house. The entire crew and management was very respectful and kind. I plan on using them again in the future for my future projects, pouring concrete and gazebo patio build."

Patios questions, answered by experts

Several types of porches are available to meet your needs and style preferences. Some common porch types include:

  • Porticos are essentially a roof over a walkway leading to the home's front entrance.

  • Sunrooms are closed-in porches that are an extension of the house with glass or plastic panels that allow optimal sunlight.

  • Wraparound porches extend around the entire home, or at least the front and one side, and offer multiple entrances to the house.

  • Back porches are an extension of the home’s floor into the outdoors. These offer more protection and privacy than a deck.

There are many materials to choose from, including picket fencing, wood slats, galvanized metal skirting, dog-ear fence panels, scallop wood fence panels, bamboo screens, and other decorative screens. You can search for materials at local big box stores like Home Depot or scour online home improvement sites. Good search terms to use are fencing, skirting, and privacy panels.

The average cost to enclose a patio to create a sunroom is around $5,000, and prices generally range from $3,000 up to $10,000. The price you pay will depend on the state of your patio and whether it needs repairs or additional structural support, the quality of the materials you choose, the size of your patio, and whether you plan to run utilities into and finish the sunroom. The price for a fully finished patio enclosure could run up to around $20,000, while you might pay just $2,500 for a screened-in porch.

The life span of your solarium will depend on the materials used and how much wear and tear the room experiences from the inside and from the outside due to weather. On average, you can expect your solarium to last anywhere from 10 years to 50 or more. In rare cases, such as with old estates, solariums can last over 100 years.

Creating a screen room is one of the most cost-effective ways to enclose a patio so you can still use it in the winter. Most screen rooms aren’t insulated, so you’ll need to wrap up warm or use patio heaters in winter. Also, be aware they might not hold up well if you live in a location where heavy snow is common.
