"Mr. Santos and his crew did a fantastic job on creating the pavers around my patio. The crew also create a flower bed around the side of my house as well as the front. Best work I’ve had done by a landscaping company. I will definitely hire this company in the future. GREAT JOB! Keep up the great work. I highly recommend."

"We worked with Bill to redesign and expand our back porch. We expanded the porch be 4 feet, added an roof and screened-in enclosure. Bill sat down with us to discuss our objectives and provided a sketch-up for us to review. He offered suggestions and made recommendations that we followed. Bill is professional and very meticulous. If you have watched Mike Homes on the DYI network " Make it Right", well this is Bill's motto! He absolutely follows up on any issue to guarantee complete customer satisfaction. He is EXTREEMLY responsive!"

Patios questions, answered by experts

Yes, a sunroom will require a permit. You may just need a general construction permit for a screened-in porch or solarium. For a three-season room with electricity and a four-season room with electric, heating, and cooling, you’ll need additional permits for each of the utilities, as well as a roofing permit.

With proper maintenance, the average life span of a screened-in porch is six to eight years for the screens themselves, but the foundation and structure can last for 50 to 100 years. To keep your screened-in porch in good shape, clean your porch screens regularly, patch holes, re-seal the wood as needed, and address any foundational issues right away.

A well-constructed and well-maintained sunroom can last as long as the rest of your house. If you build the sunroom to the same standards using the same quality materials as the house and perform regular maintenance to ensure the room stays in top condition, it can bring you decades of enjoyment.

A covered deck can be a good investment that increases your home value—especially if you live in a hot region with a lot of sun. A covering over the deck means you can get more use out of it, even on the hottest summer days. With a permanent deck covering, you can even add ceiling fans to help cool down your deck for added comfort.

A lanai is a covered patio with open walls, while a Florida room has sides made of mesh screens or windows, with or without partial low walls. In addition, lanais often use concrete or other patio flooring, while Florida rooms may have more indoor-style flooring like tile or wood. Both allow you to enjoy the outdoors without being in the direct sun, but a lanai doesn’t offer any barrier against insects or debris.
