"Eddie did a fantastic job installing all new floors throughout our house. The first floor is on slab, so we went with engineered hardwood (by Somerset) in all bedrooms and living spaces and tile (from Daltile) in the kitchen and foyer. Eddie also redid our stairs. "Floor Fathers asked for pictures before the appointment so sample tiles and trim could be on hand during the initial appointment. The representative (TJ) was very professional during our initial discussion and provided several options available to us. The installed was on time and did a great job installing the tile and, just as important, he cleaned the job site very well. Yes, but you should only put tile directly on drywall in smaller areas that don’t experience excess moisture. For example, a small kitchen tile backsplash could work, but installing tile directly on the drywall in a bathroom or other chronically damp area is not a good idea. Either way, a cement backer board is a far more reliable solution, as drywall is susceptible to moisture and can warp or cause your tiles to crack.

You cannot tile directly over hot mop waterproofing because tile requires a smooth, solid surface to adhere properly.
