"They were the best! Quick and efficient. They were able to locate three leaks in the pool and repaired them on the spot. It has been several weeks now and I only have the normal evaporation. Prior to the fix, I was losing about 5 inches in three days. I would recommend them to anyone."

"We recently had CR Pavers do our patio and they were great. We had several companies come by and give us a quote for the same job and they were the best all around, both on price and in the quality of their work."

"Late in September, Mr. Allen came to my house to evaluate the problem with my fireplace. He told me he would get back to me with a proposal and did so, He came back to my house on Oct. 7 to go over the proposal. He told me that he had to order the panels and that it would take about two months for the company to deliver the materials and that he need the full amount ($510.00) up front, because the supplier needed to be paid before the materials could be sent. When I told him that I never paid in full before work was done, having been burned in the past, he agreed to accept partial payment ($400). I found Mr. Allen to be flexible and courteous--I offer this example to demonstrate that he is willing to work with a customer on the subject of payment. He let me know that when the panels came in, he could do the work in a few hours. He was true to his word.

The work was completed on 11/10. I called several times before this date to see what progress had been made in getting the panels. Mr. Allen always returned my calls, although it took several days before I heard from him when I had called. Since I had paid him $400.00 for the materials, I was a little anxious when I didn't hear back from him on the same day that I called, but in the end he proved to be entirely trustworthy, if a little slow to respond to phone calls. I don't hold him responsible in any way for the slowness of his supplier. When he showed up on Nov. 11, around 9 am, he got right to work. By 11 am he was finished. He was careful not to track soot over the floor (the man even removed his shoes at the door--I was impressed!).  He cleaned up the hearth and threw the damaged panels into my trash can for me. I would hire him again and recommend his work strongly."

Fountains questions, answered by experts

Most outdoor water fountains and features do not use a lot of electricity, typically consuming between 100 and 250 watts per day. The size of the fountain's motor can impact its overall electricity usage. To reduce energy consumption, you can use a timer to automatically turn the fountain off at night or when you are away from home. Additionally, installing solar power components can help lower electricity costs after the initial investment is recouped.

Like pools, ponds can be a safety risk, so they may increase your homeowners insurance. Be sure to let your insurance company know if you build a pond on your property—they may have safety requirements in order to keep your premium from increasing.

A koi pond should be at least 5 feet deep to keep the fish healthy and ensure they don’t freeze in winter. Koi fish are also known for growing large, so the more room you have, the better. A larger koi pond size will allow the fish to grow bigger than a smaller one will, and the more fish you have, the bigger the pond you’ll need. Learn how to build a pond in your backyard to ensure it remains functional and aesthetically pleasing for a long time.

Deep clean your koi pond at least once a year to keep your fish healthy and your pond in good shape. Water testing, debris removal, and partial water changes should be performed weekly. Seasonal professional service will ensure everything is clean and functioning properly.

Regular water testing, debris removal, and seasonal maintenance ensure healthy water quality.
