"The work was done perfectly. Derek is very knowledgeable and diligent. He not a only did what was expected but gave us excellent advice to change the model and color of the original faucets selected for our twin bathroom sinkk to a model and color more compatible with our other fixtures. "Outstanding job. Quick and efficient. Came to give me an estimate the next day and two days later, my walk-in shower was installed. Signs that your shower valve has gone bad include a variety of issues with water flow and temperature. If you have an older showerhead, it may be a good idea to turn off the main water supply because this job can put pressure on the pipes. If you have a shower shut-off valve, it will be hidden somewhere in a nearby access panel.

A hard-to-turn shower handle is usually caused by corrosion or mineral buildup, which clogs the assembly and creates friction inside the valve. Remove the handle and look for signs of corrosion—rust-colored build-up—or mineral accumulation—white build-up. For corrosion, replacing the shower handle is your best bet. For mineral build-up, soak the handle in a solution of water and white vinegar (2:1) for an hour before reinstalling it.
