"Roman & Sheri (husband and wife team) did an excellent job. I had them pain a small area, put together 5 pieces of Funiture, put up 2 curtain rods and curtains, fix my door bracket, put up 2 shelves and take apart a dining table and put back together in a different room. In other words, they did a lot in only 3 hours. The price was very fair too. I’m going to use them again in the future."

"Sergio was amazing! He was able to use the existing materials we at at the house. ( We tried to DIY it and it did not go well.) I had several other companies come out and look at it and many of them said it could not be repaired and must be replaced. That would have been a $15,000-$20,000 job. I explained to Sergio that we needed it fixed so that we could pass the inspection for the appraisal of the home and the refinance that we are in the process of completing. I explained that my husband was an over the road truck driver and I could not wait for him to get home to get it completed. I also explained that we did not have all the tools that we needed to get it done ourselves and I was worried about it not being repaired correctly. Sergio took one look and said that it could be repaired and that he could have it done that same week! This repair did not even cost $500! It was $250 and it looks far better than my husband or I could have ever made it look!"

"I hired Rick and his crew to remodel a bathroom, reconfigure a closet to accommodate a one- piece washer and dryer combination to replace an old combination unit and sheetrock holes from vents from an HVAC system that had been updated to mini splits. As you can imagine, when opening up walls in an older building, there were issues. I was always kept abreast of those issues, informed of what COULD be done and given their suggestions of how to rectify the problem so I could make informed decisions. I was kept in constant contact in person or by phone or text. I was really surprised and pleased at how clean they left the job inside and out. The end result is beyond my expectations. I will definitly call them for my next project. I love the fact that I now have laundry facilities at home and much needed storage in a small bathroom."

"Asked Gatlin and Billie to remove an old Dish roof TV antenna and all attendant wiring. Couldn't have asked for a better job than the one they did. They were prompt, helpful, careful, thorough and professional. They filled epoxy into the holes left by the old antenna, filled the holes left by wiring holders, outside and inside. They spackled these holes and painted them to match the surrounding areas. I'll use them again for any handyman repairs we need."

Mailbox Repair questions, answered by experts

To treat sun-damaged furniture, clean the surface thoroughly to remove dirt and debris. Next, assess the damage: Consider refinishing or applying a protective sealant for faded finishes. Apply furniture oil or conditioner to restore moisture to cracked or dry wood. Remember, the best way to treat your furniture is to prevent damage in the first place. Regular maintenance and preventive measures will keep your furniture looking its best. Lastly, it may be best to consult a professional furniture restorer or refinisher for expert repairs and restoration in severe cases.

Old pianos can be hard to sell for a few reasons. Pianos fifty years or older may only sell for several hundred dollars and will often cost more to transport to the new owners. Restoring a piano also costs well into the thousands, making it pretty hard to make your money back. In most cases, donating or recycling the parts of a piano is more cost-efficient and beneficial in the long run.

Furniture repair costs around $200 on average, and most project costs fall between $100 and $500. The price you can expect to pay will depend on the type of furniture you’re repairing, the extent of the damage, and the size and age of the piece. Reupholstering and couch frame repair are the most expensive, sometimes costing $1,000, while fixes like repairing a scratch or replacing a spring in a couch or armchair will usually cost under $100. Older furniture requires more care and will typically cost more to repair.

Regularly inspect older furnishings for scratches, dents, sun damage, tears, or insect infestations in upholstered objects. These are all signs that an object needs to be repaired, and tending to them sooner rather than later will ensure they don’t worsen with time and eventually require more costly refinishing.

Use appropriate thickness materials—3/4-inch sides for heavy loads, proper joinery techniques, and quality hardware rated for your intended weight. Avoid overloading drawers beyond their design capacity, and periodically check and tighten any loose fasteners.
