My name is Charlie Lopez. I am 39 years old and a Panama City native. I have worked with several contractors doing anything from pressure washing to tearing off and installing roofs. I am a fixer of things and problem solver by nature. My wife calls me the "safety inspector". lol. I enjoy being of service and I take pride in my work. And most importantly, I show up!

"We hired Professional Movers located in Navarre, Florida. Overall we are happy with the results of that decision. Their price quoted was considerably less than others and they honored the price quote. They arrived on time, packed our furniture for a move out of state, and delivered the furniture at the agreed time and place. I believe I would hire them again, however the packing left a lot to be desired. A few things were broken but not many. I have managed to repair two of the items that were broken. The individual that packed our kitchen items did an excellent job. The individual that packed other items did not. We think it's a miracle that more stuff was not broken or damaged I would hire them again, but I would pray very hard that nothing would be broken."

"These movers were amazing! Three guys came and powered through the day and moved us from my apartment to our new 3 story town home. They stayed and placed and assembled all the furniture and made our move so easy. I would highly recommend them!"

"Fantastic, outstanding, but mainly to witness the work ethic of Nate Stevens and Brent Price, so refreshing and encouraging. I have witnessed movers from many companies, and locations, through out 24 and 1/2 years of military service win the US Air Force, and the US Army, during wish I spent many years supervising Army Claims offices, and Training for the US Army Claims service. All of the people I have dealt with are true professionals, Nate is excellent, as a leader, and a business man. Roger and Stephanie dot every i and cross every T, great customer service."

"Carlos, the Owner, was very helpful in letting me know about moving across state lines and what it entailed. He worked in my schedule when all H*** was breaking loose on my end. He was very reassuring in his comments. Moving day he was on time and had us packed in less time than originally thought. We had to stay overnight in our new house and he showed up the next day on time as well. I felt bad as he had food poisoning from a meal he ate but his crew busted their tails to make sure we were happy. He followed up the next week to make sure we were satisfied as well."

FAQs for hauling projects in Altha, FL

The kinds of items or materials accepted will vary by hauling company. Some companies will not handle hazardous waste, but hiring ones that do will cost from $5 to $100 or more, depending on what type and quantity of material.

Most companies will haul items such as:

  • Construction and remodeling waste: $100–$600

  • Appliances: $50–$600

  • Furniture: $50–$400

  • Electronics: $60–$200

  • Yard waste: $70–$500

The cost to hire a professional junk hauling service ranges from $60 to $600, averaging about $270. Your final price is determined by the type of junk, amount of junk, the distance to the dumpsite, and the equipment required to move and haul your items or materials. Keep in mind that construction junk removal is more expensive than hauling household items, so expect to pay $800 for removing large piles of debris.

Although you’re not required to tip contractors of any kind, this gesture of appreciation for a job well done is always appreciated. If the junk haulers went above and beyond to do a good job, tipping $20 to $50 or 15% to 20% of the job total is a good rule of thumb. Consider tipping in cash at the end of the junk-hauling job to each worker.

Depending on the junk removal company, they may throw your unwanted items away in a dumpsite or take them to a recycling facility. Other junk removal services may take to a local donation organization for repurposing. When considering which junk removal company to hire, ask them about their policy for disposing of your belongings. No matter where it ends up, junk hauling companies can remove everything you need, even if it takes a few trips.

When deciding whether to rent a dumpster or hire a junk removal service to remove waste from your home, consider how quickly you need to complete this task and the amount and weight of the unwanted items. Renting a dumpster is ideal for scenarios where you need several days to empty out waste, such as construction waste, yard debris, and large furniture items. However, you’ll have to load it yourself. On the other hand, hiring a local junk removal service works well for quick and hands-free tasks, as the pros will remove hard-to-move items within a few hours.
