"Professional, serious, and effective. The exhaust fan/light was installed in our bathroom, with a good ventilation plan to take it out the side of the house. The work was performed well, they cleaned up afterwards very thoroughly, and we're quite happy with the results."

"They had very good availability. They came and did everything as fast as they could. It was very convenient that way. The bad would be that they painted the window seal white. It had previously been a dark color, and I am not sure if they primed it good enough. You can still see the dark color through it. If we used them again we would go over our specifications a little more carefully before hand."

"Gary and team were THE BEST! It was clearly the most expensive project we've ever completed on our home so finding a trustworthy, skilled team that specializes in both decks and hardscape patios was key. Thank you Annie's list for helping us find Gary and team! Pricing: We received three quotes for the job. Gary's was not only the most reasonable (~15k less than the highest quote), but his willingness to work within our budget, flexibility throughout the project, suggestions and recommendations were all on point. Craftsmanship: We are so impressed with the quality and craftsmanship of the deck, hardscape, sitting walls, and custom lighting and fire pit. It surpassed are lofty expectations in every way. If I ever have any future decking or patio hardscape needs I will be hiring Gary and team again. DO IT... you will thank me as I have the previous reviewers for sending me his way."

"We called MC electrical LLC and he came out within two days to give an estimate for our landscape lighting and had an estimate emailed over to us within 24-48 hours after coming out!! Lights look amazing and I'm very impressed with the work performed, not to mention the recommendation that Michael the owner had given us for the new LED fixtures!! Michael and Keith were very awesome as far as laying out all of the walkway lighting as well as the lighting that we have shining on our home as well as the trees!! Very impressive work performed and they kept a very clean workplace throughout the entire job from start to finish!! This company definitely knows there stuff and Michael definitely has the right crew to get the work done the right way in a timely matter!! Thanks again Michael and Keith for all of your hard work!! We will be calling Michael the owner of MC Electrical LLC really soon to get our old house knob-tubing wiring replaced as well as a camera surveillance system installed!! We recommend MC Electrical LLC to everyone!!! You will not be disappointed!!"

Lighting questions, answered by experts

Cold weather can cause older incandescent Christmas lights to fail by causing cracks in the finish or the glass itself. Modern LED lights are affected in the opposite way and perform even better as the temperature drops.

Yes, most services include testing the system after repairs. Confirm with your provider.

The cost of lamp repair generally ranges from $30 to $150, with an average cost of around $75. Common repairs like rewiring or replacing a switch typically cost around $60 and $80, respectively. The final price depends on factors such as the type of lamp, the complexity of the issue, and the parts required. Keep in mind that repair costs may be higher for ornate or antique lamps. It's a good practice to ask for a price quote from a professional lamp repair service to determine if the investment is worthwhile.

There are a number of reasons that landscape lights burn out, including an incorrectly installed transformer, inconsistent voltage, and burned-out or faulty bulbs. Troubleshoot landscape lighting problems by first determining whether it’s a system-wide problem or an issue with just one light, which will help you get to the bottom of your outdoor lighting woes.

Your maintenance needs revolve around the type of foundation you choose, as well as how you furnish or decorate it. Patios require little else other than the occasional hose-down, but decks and other wooden structures will require annual power washing and sealing. You may also need to restain the wood every two to three years.

Adding a solid roof rather than building a pergola or leaving the space open will make maintenance much easier. Without a roof, you will need to spend more time sweeping, washing, and covering your furniture to protect it from UV bleaching.
