"We had a really bad storm and my basement had water all over the place, I called a few places but Basement Gurus where there the next day. When I met with Dan Kelly for the estimate he was on time, wore his mask and we did a walk-through inside the basement and outside the perimeter of my home. He asked me exactly what I would like done and how Basement Gurus could help. Dan offered me different options, was very informative and showed me what materials they use compare to others. We sat down and reviewed the cost of options and set the install date, he also mentioned that they had a finance option in case I needed it. Dan was very professional, treated me like if we knew each other for years and NOT pushy at all to sell me on his product. Once the date was set, his crew came in early in the morning and was done the same day. Very happy with my decision, not had a leak since and have peace of mind. After the job was completed, Dan contacted me to see how everything was going and I informed him that we had lost my dad, he gave me his condolences and next thing I know I received a card in the mail from him and Basement Gurus. If thatâ s not going above and beyond, then I donâ t know what is. I highly recommend them. Thank you, Dan and Basement Gurus!"

Small jobs welcome

"Gave 5 stars because nothing higher was offered. At least 10 star work. They came on time and performed efficiently and quickly. Couldn't ask for a better experience from John and his employee. Reasonably priced and professional."

"We finally found the right contractor! We had 3 projects involving the basement, Master bath and front porch. Martin and his team are very skilled. The work is high quality, efficient and done correctly. Estimates are provided in writing in advance of the job. Martin is often onsite - either doing the work himself or supervising and guiding his team. He communicates well and often and he stands behind his work. We had a small issue in the Master Bath with the painting on the ceiling. He came immediately to inspect it, figured out the issue and had his team redo the ceiling paint. It's now perfect. He is also strategic in making suggestions and giving creative ideas on how to approach the job in ways we had not thought of ourselves. I highly recommend Martin's Home Improvements."

"The two technicians that came to my home were polite, professional, and thorough. They were able to install the tub that I purchased to control hair buildup in the drinks. Unfortunately during the job, something was dropped on the edge of the tub and the tub ended up getting chipped. I have been assured that they will come back and repair the damage free of charge and I am currently on the waitlist for that repair. Other than that I would not hesitate to hire them again. Review update: As promised, Ryan did send a subcontractor to repair the paint chip on my tub. Unfortunately, the technician had a poor attitude and did a lousy job. So, I will have to find another vendor to refinish the paint on my brand new tub."

Italianate architecture is a reinterpretation of Renaissance styles, combining elements of Italian farmhouses and villas with Victorian materials and construction. This home style emerged in the Victorian era, gaining popularity in the U.S. in the mid-to late-1800s. The style came about in response to what many then viewed as the too-rigid and stuffy Classical style designs.

Yes, integrating sustainable practices and energy efficiency into plans is common.
