"Project: Privacy fence installation We contracted Martin Alvarez with Alvarez Landscaping Company to install over 200 linear feet of privacy fence. Martin was very easy to get in contact with and provided an estimate for our project in a short time frame. He was very knowledgeable and recommended ways we could save money. He and his colleagues were very professional and completed our project in a very quick turnaround time. The work and craftsmanship is excellent, and he was very accommodating to all of our requests. We now have a solid privacy fence and two custom gates all for a price that canâ t be beat."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five Stars Isn’t Enough! On Saturday, July 25, 2026, I was searching for a reliable landscaper when I contacted Aaron King of King’s Turf Solutions. Even though it was a busy Saturday, Aaron took the time to personally call me and let me know he would come out to provide an estimate. That alone impressed me. What happened next truly speaks to the kind of person and businessman he is. On Sunday, July 26, 2026—a day he normally doesn’t work—Aaron came to my home and completely transformed my property. He did a beautiful job landscaping the front of my house, giving it a fresh, clean, and welcoming appearance. He also mowed my lawn, cleared my backyard of overgrown weeds, and left everything looking absolutely beautiful. His work was meticulous, and he treated my property with the same care and respect as if it where his own. Aaron is an outstanding landscaper but also an exceptional young man. He is professional, courteous & hardworking, BEST SERVICE EVER. Warmly Helena & Max"

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

How much 4 yards of dirt will cover depends on how deep you want the soil to be. In general, a yard of dirt will cover 324 square feet for a 1-inch depth or 100 square feet for a 3-inch depth. Therefore, you can expect 4 yards to cover between 400 and 1,296 square feet if you keep your soil depth between 1 and 3 inches.

A scattering of leaves won’t pose a problem through the winter, but a thicker layer of leaves may not decompose before the first frost and can instead weigh down your grass and harbor mold or fungi. A thick layer of leaves also cuts off light and air that grass needs to grow. That’s why we suggest removing thick leaf layers within several days if possible. If your lawn goes dormant over the winter and snow has already caught up with you, then remove the leaves in early spring before your grass-growing season starts so your lawn can thrive.

If you are xeriscaping a lawn from scratch, your best bet for preparing the lawn is to work with a xeriscaping specialist in your area. The most common first step to making the transformation, however, will be to remove the turfgrass from your lawn. The subsequent steps will often include amending the soil to support new plants and installing low-drip or drip irrigation systems.

Yes, weeds can still grow in decomposed granite. If properly compacted, it can act as a good weed suppressant, meaning you’ll only pull weeds occasionally. But no ground cover is completely weed-proof. To further prevent weeds, you can try spraying your decomposed granite with distilled white vinegar.

Yes, many providers offer organic or eco-friendly treatments. Confirm availability with your contractor.
