"When I purchased my home, this company was hired to certify the roof. They identified a few issues and claimed to have fixed them. However, the roof continued to leak in the exact spots they supposedly repaired. They sent a crew out again, but the leaks persisted. Loria later visited the property and assured me that a crew would return to address the problem. Months have passed, and no one has shown up. Throughout this time, I?ve been given a series of excuses ? from lost service tickets to vehicle breakdowns and personal issues. Eventually, Len contacted me and denied any responsibility or offered solutions. For the price I paid, the quality of work has been completely unacceptable. I feel misled and extremely disappointed with both the service and the lack of accountability. Stay far away from this company."

"I don’t think there are enough characters available to explain how badly they lied and misled us. I called with one specific purpose, which I was very clear about. I have stained fascia, and I wanted to know the cause and then have it repaired. The owner and another contractor explained that they would remove the fascia to identify the cause, which could be my gutters. The estimate was based on what was likely the cause, but I was assured multiple times that they would remove the fascia to confirm. so I signed the estimate. They repaired my gutters and left without removing the fascia, which was the sole reason that I contacted them. When I questioned it, they said their estimate didn’t say that, however, we had a clear verbal agreement, which they violated, and offered to do the actual work I wanted from the beginning for $500+ more after I paid $1100 for something that may not have been necessary. I’m filing multiple complaints and citing Unfair, Deceptive, Abusive Acts and Practices (UDAAP)."

This makes it one of the best roofing options for Cape Cod homes in the Northeast, as well as homes in the humid southern states and snowy northern states. There are advantages and disadvantages to metal roofs in cold climates. Metal roofing stands up extremely well to harsh winters as long as it is properly insulated. Snow and ice slide right off residential metal roofs, preventing the formation of ice dams; but because of this, they may require snow guards, which prevent the ice and snow that slide off a roof from causing a sort of "mini avalanche" that can damage property and people below.

24-gauge metal is thicker and will stand up better to impact, so it’s a better option for roofs that will see heavy snow and ice accumulation, hail storms, fallen tree debris, and blown debris. It’s a more expensive option, but it’s worth the added cost for roof longevity in extreme climates. If you live in a more moderate climate and don’t have trees overhanging your roof, 26-gauge metal is suitable and is a more affordable option.

But you may find yourself having to wait weeks for the insurance claim to go through, including having the adjuster visit your home and make their report.
