Chimney Tek

Tech came out. I don't think he cleaned chimney. I wish I could submit pics. Soot along back wall of fireplace. Tech said I need a new chimney liner and I could apply my $399 charge to new liner. I had to email company after 2 weeks and ask for quote. The emailed quote was $38,000. No follow up phone call to discuss quote. To say I was shocked is an understatement. Feels like a scam to get $400.

Chimney Tek was beyond timely. They responded to a request on a Sunday afternoon and were out the next day in the morning. Great turnaround with up-front, honest recommendations.

Took several days to schedule service. The tech was not local.

The office staff was helpful. The Tech that came out twice were informative and polite.

I had a problem with water seeping down the chimney and got several estimates to resolve the problem. The possible solutions ranged from rebuilding the chimney to sealing and capping the chimney. Chimney Tek came up with the best solution for the cheapest price. They powerwashed the moss off the chimney, resealed the crown, installed a custom-made SS cover, and sealed the brick. I waited 7 months to write this review to make sure that it was really fixed. No more seeping water! They always showed up on time and did a great job of communicating with me. They provided a great service and I would recommend them to anyone.

This company is awesome! They scheduled our inspection quickly and provided a quote and and an install date on the spot. The install was painless and well done.

Chimney Tek was supposed to come for a basic chimney clean. When they arrived, they started to clean my chimney and did not properly use the shop vac. Our entire house filled with soot and the air was black. I have two children, both under 5, who had to stay upstairs. All of our furniture, clothing, and walls were covered in soot after they left. On top of that, the inside of my firebox was not cleaned out properly, nor was the ash cap emptied. All of which is basic procedure for cleaning out a wood stove. Will not be using this company again and would not recommend.

Initial work quality is excellent. They replaced a Gas Chimney Flue cap. Wayne went as far as reinforcing the pipe in the attic as well which was not a requirement. They were able to work with my schedule and meet me on a Saturday. Thanks!

They gave me an estimate and described the work that needed to be done. The men who came to do the work informed me of so changes that needed to be done and finished the job as they promised. They were very pleasant and I felt safe with them in my home

They worked hard tearing down the old crumbling brick chimney to the roof and replaced with new brick. I chose to go with a new stainless steel liner which was a tough job connecting to our oil furnace as the tech had to do it in a crawl space. It was more expensive than I planned but if we have to sell our house in the future, that will be a selling point. The guys worked hard.

They were prompt and let me know when they were coming. The work seems to be done well but I am in no condition to climb on the roof to inspect the job. Therefore time will.

Though the clean/inspection rate was a little high, by the time they came out and inspected my chimney (bought house in 2017), I understood why. They have excellent knowledge/equipment that lets the customer know exactly what is in need of repair/replacements to the fireplace and chimney. They use a camera line, much like plumbers use for sewer line inspections, in which everything can be seen (& explained) during the inspection. They also print out photos and short explanations under the photos as part of their inspection report, much like a home inspection report is done when considering a purchase of a home. The lead tech & assistant both were knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and thorough, leaving the home clean. All questions were answered to my satisfaction. Excellent service.

Came out to inspect the chimney quickly. This was not a fireplace but a chimney to vent the furnace and hot water heater. Found a serious problem and were able to fix it within a week. We appreciated the prompt attention to our problem.

The staff was on time, friendly, and did a great job. Also was very helpful in discussing options for fixing my fireplace . They installed a stainless steel liner, and did some cleanup and repairs in and outside of the chimney.

polite, friendly and quick with good advice . Cleaned the chimney and put in missing firebricks. Last year they repaired the chimney crown and fastened the steel liner which THREE chimney "experts" told us they did and made us pay for it. All were members of the chimney sweep organization except the first.They did nothing. We paid before thousand of dollars for nothing. Chimney Tek fastened the steel insert and repaired the chimney crown in 2015 and made the wood burning fireplace work safely and efficiently for a reasonable price.
