"Dixon and his crew do wonderful work - at a price about 10% less than worthy competitors. We kept adding to the project because of our faith in him. Can his communication be improved? Yes - he is short on the phone, he gets flustered with too much opinion or questions - but if everyone puts on their big boy pants and focuses on the output - you will be more than happy. His crew CRANKS out the work - no lollygagging - Dixon is there at the beginning and a few drive bys, and at the end. I have no problem with that - again, focus on a beautifully completed project and know that he isn't Dale Carnegie - I wanted a beautiful patio, walkways and hardscaping at a great price - I got that. "Alex is a very hard worker but beyond that he is a very well self taught hard landscape architect . He is creative and inspiring. I initially hired him to put up a fence. He did such a great job I hired him to redo my pond. It came out beautifully. I then hired him to redo my poolâ s patio area and erect a small brick barrier between the flower beds and the patio and once again it was beautifully done. He also put in two walkways that charmingly meander through the forest behind the pool house. We are now planning to put in a bocce court . On a scale of one to ten Alex is a twelve. I highly recommend him. PS his prices are very competitive so much so that he was the low bidder on these projects. He is the best landscape architect I have ever hired and a great guy to work with."

The price was very reasonable for the large amount of work he did and he even did extra cleanup work that not alot of handymen would do. "Marygrove Awning was very responsive to my first inquiry. It was mid November when I first contacted them and we we had a very tight time frame that the new awning cover needed to be installed. Our awning is over the front of our business and is in a historic district. We could not have the old retractable frame removed and replaced with a newer type. Understandably , the company could not guarantee their work on the existing frame. Not having a guarantee concerned me but under the circumstance we had no choice. The day of installation was bitterly cold and windy. Two workers showed up on time and worked steadily in the bitter cold on a piece of equipment (our old awning frame) they previously had very little if any experience with. I was very impressed with how well they worked. It works beautifully 8 months later and we are pleased. I highly recommend MaryGrove Awning. If you have an old retractable frame like ours this firm is able to step up and take care of the situation. The two guys who worked that very cold rainy day on a very old piece of equipment should be very proud of the job they did.
