Our full service, high quality landscaping company is a small family owned business with an excellent reputation for honesty, integreity, reliability and horticultural knowledge. Most services require a deposit with balance due on completion. Terms are net 15 days. Most employees have been with us for more than 10 years and take great pride in their work.

"Terrible customer interaction!!!!! I will start by saying I usually only do reviews if they are good. As a matter of fact, I enjoying sharing good experiences and referring good people. I bet most people do because if it is a bad experience they don't want to waste their time re-telling it and having to deal with backlash. Angie's List is good at getting people to share their good experiences. Maybe some people's "grades" are a bit over inflated due to this model. I contracted (End of Aug 2018) and paid a design fee to Jobe to do a landscape design for my entire lawn. (it is a small area). He did a beautiful design, we changed a few things and paired it down for cost purposes. We also discussed breaking it down into 2 parts because it was the fall and I wasn't going to be around to take care of any plantings. It worked for him because he could to the hardscape over the winter when things were typically slow. They did not get to it until mid March. Per our (Jobe and myself) conversations, the plantings would be done in the spring. But, it was spring and there were issues /delays with the sprinklers, the fencing getting ordered and put in. I assumed we would move forward once these items were completed. At that point, Jobe was not around much. Little if any communication. A new person came aboard and I never dealt with Jobe again. Then enters Joy (one of the owners). People who had no knowledge of what Jobe and I had discussed were sending me new proposals with different plants, charging me for things that were already completed and jumping the costs every time a proposal was "fixed". It was so bad that I had to get out the proposal Jobe and I had worked on and itemize it myself with pictures. Even with a detailed list/pictures of what I wanted, Joy insisted her proposal was right. She did not listen to a thing her customer was saying! It was her way. Joy was very condescending, couldn't admit she made a mistake, got nasty if you changed the plan in anyway and just truly acted like I was putting her out even though I had spent a lot of money with more on the way. The cost of this project was pushing $50k. I had also signed up well for a maintenance contract. Not customer oriented at all. I decided not to finish with them and I am awaiting my money back that I paid for the second phase. I have 4 dead trees waiting to be replaced from first phase. Which was to originally be 8/14. She canceled said the trees were not in. But, in the next email said they couldn't put off replacing them off until spring because they were there at their shop. We will see. I think Jobe is talented and good to work with but I did not have the follow through and things fell through the cracks."

Lawn Irrigation questions, answered by experts

No, it's not a good idea to put grass seed directly on top of dead grass. For successful germination and growth, grass seed needs good soil contact. To prepare the area, start by removing the dead grass using a shovel or a sod cutter. Then, loosen the soil, add soil amendments if necessary, and spread the grass seed evenly. This allows the seed to come into direct contact with the soil, promoting better germination and establishing a healthier lawn.

Experts recommend aerating a lawn at least once a year. If you haven’t aerated your lawn recently, or if it has a significant amount of thatch buildup, you may need to aerate it twice annually for a few years. Keeping up with a regular aeration schedule helps ensure the long-term health of your yard.

A lawn that suddenly and quickly turns yellow is typically the result of a dramatic change in the grass's environment. Heavy rainfall can dilute soil nutrients, rapidly yellowing the grass, and dull lawn mower blades can dry out and damage the grass in a short time. Over-fertilizing can yellow a lawn within a matter of days.

Don’t pick up dirt after aerating. Even though it's tempting because soil cores are incredibly unsightly, these cores and the dirt they leave behind are ecologically important. This is what keeps your grass looking beautiful and growing healthily. The soil cores need two to three weeks to decompose, but you can swat them with a rake if their natural shape bothers you.

There are a few time periods or conditions during which you should avoid aerating your lawn. For example, do not aerate when the ground is frozen or waterlogged, as it can damage the soil structure and grass roots. Aerating during the peak of summer heat or drought is also not recommended since it can stress your grass further. It's best to wait for cooler, more favorable conditions. Finally, newly seeded lawns should not be aerated until the grass is well-established, usually at least one year after seeding.
