"The gentleman who came to my home were absolutely great! Explained everything and made sure I was happy with the work every step of the way. I was nervous in the beginning but my fear subsided after Robert Charlesworth, Marcelo largo, Isaiah belcher and Johnathon Lopez made for a great experience. The attention to detail and dust control, tapping off areas they felt I wouldn’t want getting dusty exceeded my expectations! Thank you for your hard work and kindness. Trucks looked awesome new as well as tools and equipment. Great job guys!!"

"Absolutely love it!!! We replaced tub curtains with sliding glass doors. Work and quality are superb. It looks gorgeous. The price was very reasonable. Jose from Glazier helped us with the customization and design of our doors, explained everything in detail. We are very grateful to him and his crew; they are very professional. I will be remodeling another bathroom, and I am defenetly calling Jose from Glazier for my next project. Thanks Glazier, my bathtub looks amazing!!!"

"Superb workmanship with unbelievable attention to detail. Todd went to great lengths to discuss ideas and made creative suggestions. The final product exceeded our expectations. He performed electrical, plumbing, tiling, finish carpentry, and painting to the highest level. His personality convinced us to choose him and his high quality work affirmed our choice. We've also hired Todd to repair a shoddily installed shower basin and tile enclosure. And...Todd revamped and upgraded the underside of a porch roof with difficult angled geometry. Another impeccable piece of work. And...Todd replaced a simple external door with a more complex design with opening side lights. Perfect installation. And...Todd arranged a complete re-roof of our house. As you can see, we value and trust his work and work ethic."

Egress Windows questions, answered by experts

New window installation costs range from $300 to $1,500 per window, depending on size, material, and energy efficiency features.

To find and hire a reputable contractor for an egress window installation, you should first research local professionals and then vet your top candidates. Start by searching for local contractors who specialize in this type of work, read their customer reviews, and examine their website and portfolio. Once you have a shortlist, contact them to ask key questions: Are you licensed and insured? What is your specific experience installing egress windows? Can you provide references from previous customers? Do you perform the work yourself or use subcontractors? What is the estimated project timeline and your current schedule? How do you handle payment?

Yes, with modifications or the use of adapter kits for tricky placements.

Most modern egress windows installed in basements open outward into a window well, although some older homes have in-swing windows. Egress windows, like casement windows used in other parts of the home, such as bedrooms and bathrooms, may open inward, and these windows are often larger than outward-opening windows.

Adding windows to a house is expensive. Budget roughly $5,800 to add a single window, and double or triple that to add two or three. In some cases, adding a single window can exceed $20,000, depending on the type of exterior wall, the size of the window, the type of window, local permit costs, and other factors.
