"The workers and the office support coordinator have all been very polite, responsive and easy to work with. They responded positively to touch-ups needed. They are professional painters and did a very good job with power washing, repair and scraping trims, sanding, priming and painting of the entire exterior of 2 houses including all trims and sidings. They were clean, efficient and on schedule. They kept me updated throughout the project."

"I called for a quote when shopping around for my exterior paint/stain project. Leoâ s price was competitive but I ultimately went with another company since I had received their quote first. That was a mistake. I called Leo to see if he had availability to come look at fixing the job that the first company started. The first company had failed to sand any of the trim and the paint was immediately peeling after day 1. Leo came right out, looked at the job once more and his team started the next day. They took their time and did a great job with the prep work and fixing what the first company had done. This was not a three day project like the first company was aiming for. They really took their time and did it correctly. He also guided me in selecting which colors should be used in certain areas. My home looks brand new. I would recommend Challenger Construction for any and all painting needs."

"The Cordova Painting crew was excellent! They are VERY professional and meticulous when it comes to cleanliness. We had our entire first floor interior painted including a two story foyer and great room. Cordova Painting came each day on time and ready to work. The painting and drywall results are fantastic!! They completed the job in just over 3 and half weeks and were very reasonably priced. What impressed us as well was that at the end of each day, they vacuumed and mopped our hardwood floors to clean up any dust they may have created that day. Incredible results due to their meticulous attention to detail. HIGHLY recommend Pedro and his crew!!"

"Brothers & Brushes did a great job. The first visit with them was an easy process going over the room we wanted to get painted. Shawn and I walked the room pointing out imperfections that needed to fixed, he took pictures of the room and the things I requested to be fixed, a quote was emailed within a few days and they’re online contract was easy to understand, read and sign. When Brothers & Brushes was here while painting the room, they were asking if he had any concerns about there work, when they put the new wall paint on the wall, they asked if we liked it before painting the whole room. Their attention to detail was great."

"Overall I am very happy with his work.  He wants things to be "right" and his prices are fair.  The inside painting went off without a hitch.  He even made suggestions for matching paints, and how to deal with transition areas.  They were punctual, worked at a good pace, cleaned up the site and were neat, with good lines and good coverage.
The outside job turned into an adventure.  I knew from the home inspection (recently purchased the house) that there were several ceder boards on the deck that were soft in spots and sections needed to be replaced.  Once A&M  started on this project we found that ALL of the boards were rotten on the bottom and every one needed to be replaced.  The job went from $1500 to $2500 plus material.  This also included outside painting in the deck area and some outdoor furniture.  It was clear that the work really needed to be done and the waterproofing done in past years had not covered the seams well enough.
They stayed with the job, working when weather permitted.  The end result is a virtually new deck and a nice, even stain.  The water beads up like a newly waxed car.  Augie had to make a lot of adjustments for material runs and shuffling around other jobs as this turned out to be much bigger than expected.  Once he realized we had a bigger problem, he felt compelled to rearrange his schedule so that he didn't leave us with a large mess in the back yard
He showed me all material costs, and even got us some price breaks with his contractor status.
He is a small business man who wants to get things right and is willing to earn his money.  He does need to work on the admin side of the business (invoicing, email, etc) as that part lags behind his other services.  His focus is on painting and getting the work done.
I will use his company again.

Painting questions, answered by experts

Pressure-treated wood lasts at least 10 years, but with the right care and treatment, it can last as long as 40 years. Painting the boards is one way to increase the lifespan of pressure-treated wood. The layer of paint provides extra protection for the wood against the exterior elements and insects.

Yes, many repair services include repainting to match the color of the existing siding or walls. Most professionals offer this service to ensure the repaired area blends in seamlessly.

When applying multiple coats, wait four to six hours for each coat to dry. Not waiting long enough can result in streaks, peeling, and uneven color. Plus, it will be more difficult to discern where the second coat has already been applied.

While power washing isn't a requirement before you stain a fence, it can make the job much easier and faster while reducing manual labor requirements. The stain will not work if the wood is full of dirt and dust, so power washing, sometimes called pressure washing, is a fast and effective way to prepare the wood for staining. Remember that you need to stain or repaint relatively soon after the wood has dried so that there isn’t time for dust and dirt to build up again.

You should repaint your fence every 1 to 3 years, depending on the appearance of wear and tear. Weather and usage will factor into how often you should paint another coat on your fence. If you need to replace a few fence boards or posts, you may want to consider repainting the fence to help protect the rest of the fence as well as the new pieces against damage and deterioration from being exposed to the elements.
