"Kim is an efficient and thorough house cleaner. We have used her services for a couple of years now. Kim is respectful and polite, and has never missed coming her scheduled day every-other week. Kim arranges her cost by the job, not by the hour; and her cost is fair and competitive. She works amazingly fast, but never misses a spot to be dusted, vacuumed, or washed. Kim has been a gem to us! Highly recommend!"

"Very well. If you use a sink that is not purchased from Pacific Tile (stainless only), be sure it is available early on in the installation process, to ensure it can be installed."

"We have a new house and we were told to seal our entire kitchen floor. The floor is ceramic tile and the tile was not supposed to be sealed- just the grout. The sealer left a hard waxy film on the floor and after many desparate calls we were told we would have to use muriatic acid or put in a new floor. When we called Declan from New Life Tile and Grout he said he could remove the sealer with a nontoxic chemical that would not hurt the tile or be dangerous to people or pets. He and his partner came yesterday and in 6 hours my kitchen floor looked like new! I was thrilled and I highly recommend Declan Kerr and this company. Dianne"

Grout Tile Cleaners questions, answered by experts

The best cleaner to remove soot depends on the surface material and the type of fire, but consider dish soaps or degreasers, baking soda, rubbing alcohol, and hydrogen. Low-oxygen fires often leave behind greasy soot, which is best removed with dish soaps or degreasers. Baking soda can be useful for absorbing soot deposits from carpets, followed by rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide to clean the set-in stains.

Regular sealing, promptly addressing stains or cracks, and using non-abrasive cleaners prolong grout life and appearance.

Soot can be harder to remove compared to other types of stains given its acidic nature. It can also cause underlying paint to peel off during the cleaning process. If your soot issue is a result of smoke damage, it’s recommended you call a pro to help remove it versus doing it yourself.

Cracks, chips, stains, and worn-out sealant are common issues requiring repair.

Grout dye lasts three to 10 years, but the lifespan of any grout finishing product depends on how well you apply it and how much traffic the area gets. Proper application and lower traffic will extend the lifespan. Rushed application and high traffic can mean the dye will only last a few months to a few years.
