"Eric and his team are fantastic. He came recommended to me by my realtor and I could tell right away through the planning process that he is a true professional. I hired Ericsen to install a new roof, hardie board and board and batten siding, and windows on a 3 story 2 family home. Everything went very smoothly. On time and on budget. They did such a beautiful job, people driving by have stopped to ask who did the work. I would absolutely hire Ericsen again for the next project."

"We are extremely happy with A1 Home Improvement. We hired them to install siding on our home. From start to finish, wonderful staff to work with. Joe, our salesperson, spent a lot of time with us and even provided a 3D image of what our house would look like once completed. Tawana and Lisa promptly answered any questions brought to them. The installation team, Jose' and his crew were wonderful and did an excellent job. The guys that installed the gutters also did a great job. Our overall experience was excellent. Our home is just beautiful!"

"Jean was willing to meet with our unit owners to walk us through the project. He responded promptly to our questions and addressed any concerns that we had throughout the project. Jean and his crew did an amazing job on repairing the stucco on our building. They came early in the morning and worked hard to get the work done. This project was being done concurrently with another contractor working on our window installation. Jean was able to work around the major delays caused by the other contractor. He provided us with an updated schedule to ensure that everyone in the building was informed about the project process and the needs of the crew. I would recommend CT Stucco and would use them, if needed, in my own future home. The quality of their work was excellent."

Eifs Installers questions, answered by experts

If improperly installed, an egress window can compromise your foundation’s structural integrity, so it’s important to work with a pro to ensure your foundation remains in good shape. Any money you may save on a DIY egress window installation may cost you in the long run if your foundation is damaged in the process.

The entire window replacement process, from the initial consultation to the final installation, typically takes between four and 15 weeks. This timeline accounts for measuring appointments, ordering, and manufacturing. On the day of the job, the physical installation takes about 30 minutes to two hours per window. A full-house replacement can take one to three days to complete. Factors that can extend this timeline include the total number of windows, custom sizes, complex window types, second-story installations, and any necessary repairs to existing window frames or openings.

Installing a window well costs anywhere from $500 to $1,500 or more. Adding an egress window and well runs about $3,900 on average. Adding a window well cover to the project can add $200 to $700. A well cover helps protect your egress windows from weather damage and keeps them clear of dirt, debris, and wildlife.

Yes, egress windows are grandfathered. However, this comes with some specifications. If you are remodeling a basement or adding a sleeping area, you’ll need to update the egress windows to be up to proper code. But, if you’re leaving your home as is, you do not have to adhere to these requirements.

The cost to install a bow window can range from $1,500 to $15,000, with a national average of $3,900. The total price includes materials, which can cost between $1,200 and over $14,000, and labor, which typically adds $300 to $1,900. Several factors influence the final cost, including the window's size and frame material. For example, vinyl frames are the most budget-friendly option, while wood frames are more expensive. Custom features or energy-efficient upgrades will also increase the price. For comparison, a bay window installation typically costs between $1,000 and $7,000.
