Best floor sanding pros near Pomfret, CT

"John and Charlotte are a pleasure to work with. And I can’t say how thrilled we are with our new floor. They worked around our schedule to complete our new floor. We can’t wait to have them back in late July- early August to sand and refinish our existing wood floors. If you’re looking for someone to replace or refinish flooring, I could recommend anyone better than John Robbins Flooring."

"I can not speak highly enough of Alex, Dimitry, and David. They are artists who do an amazing job and charge a very fair price. We have a 1754 house, so nothing is simple. We asked them to refinish the flooring that we had in the great room. I have just completed renovating and wanted to have the 1950's floors refinished. Maybe someday we will put period flooring in, but for now, we just wanted the floor that we have to match the renovation. They blew us away with their quality and attention to detail. Alex was very patient with us and explained the whole process. In three days, our floor went from beat-up to beautiful. We were so impressed with their work, that we had them restore the historical plank floors that we have upstairs in our hallway and in one bedroom. They far exceeded what they did downstairs. I told Alex, my only regret is that we could not take the upstairs floors and bring them downstairs. We will be hiring them for all of our future flooring work."

"They were friendly and professional. Very focused on details and making sure we were satisfied. They were flexible with scheduling and very accommodating. The floors are absolutely beautiful!!! We would readily recommend them to our friends and family!"

"Daniel does excellent furniture repair work. This is the second time we have hired him."

"Quick service. Steve was a good guy he explained well what he was doing and he used his drone to show the finish work including pictures. He was in control to keep the place clean. Good job will use again"

"John and his team from American Oak were extremely professional and attentive throughout the entire process. They installed 1,500 square feet of vinyl flooring in my basement and refinished 800 square feet of wood flooring with excellent quality and care. I specifically asked for a dust-free process, and they exceeded my expectations — the house was left spotless, and everything was properly protected. The results look amazing, and I am very grateful for their hard work. I highly recommend American Oak."

"I can?t say enough what an amazing job Marcos and his team at Reis Wood Floors did. They were communicative, professional and quick. I had my floors sanded, stained and sealed. After sanding Marcos made sure to show me all the stain options I chose on the actual floor. So I can see how they would look. The whole process took a week. As a first time homeowner, I?m ecstatic that I found such a great company. I?m in love with my new floors, and already have plans on hiring them for another floor project."

"Peter Mountzoures of all trades I really like utilizing the service of Peter because he is one of the few contractors that I felt confident in performing the work on my late parents’ home without me following up right away. In addition, Peter replaced two windows that were on the second floor with ease, razed an old building, replaced the roof on the main dwelling, and plowed my late parent’s driveway when I requested. Peter is trustworthy and very professional. I highly recommend employing Peter’s services."

"Went great. Jess was punctual, in-budget and really great to work with. I think she knew her stuff and just as importantly, if she didn't have an answer, she would get one. Jess did not give fake answers. The house looks great now and things are ship-shape.
Jess was fun, professional and knowledgeable. Some of the work involved a few curve balls provided by hidden damage in the floor. Girls 'n' Tools took it in stride and just handled what needed to be done.
