"I signed a contract with North American Chimney on February 1st. I was provided an estimate on the spot and was happy to get a project started. The first appointment was canceled due to a blizzard. On the rescheduled date, I notified the receptionist there was snow and ice on the roof, and was told, “we work in these conditions all the time”. The installer arrived, and said it was too icy. I was fine, and rescheduled. On the third attempt, I again called and said, it seemed “icy to me”. The receptionist said they would make the decision when they arrived. Upon arrival, the installer said it was dangerous and he would prefer to reschedule. I agreed. He called the owner in front of me, and said, “the owner does not want us on the roof”. This was an outright lie. It was the installer’s decision. When he hung up the phone, I inquired why he did that. “It’s just easier that way to say it was you”. On the fourth attempt, the chase cover, and two caps were installed. The roof was clear, but it was bitterly cold. I asked if that would prevent any caulk from curing; “we work in all type of weather”. I thought it was finally done. Two days later, the garage was flooded with a white, milky water. I collected nearly four gallons of water in buckets. When I called, I was told the installer said I had another issue on the roof and that was the problem. I said, it is definitely your issue. After some back and forth, I was able to get an appointment. When the installer arrived, he was rude and accusatory. That was, until he saw the collection of white water, and when I pointed to the two flues in the garage, and sunlight was visibly shining in. The appointment was clearly tense, and I was glad when they were done. Following the replacement of the roof, there was a downpour with wind, and leak appeared on the ceiling upstairs. At first, the obvious culprit was the roofer. That was, until I got up and inspected the quality of the chase cover/cap installation. (see attached pictures). After several hours, we proved the roof was not the issue, and I called North American Chimney. The receptionist said she would pull the paperwork and get back to me. I told her, the original installer made me uncomfortable and I wanted someone else from the company to correct the problem. She agreed. The next day, I was told by receptionist, the owner said the original installer would have to repair the situation. As was communicated to me “I had no alternative then to give him the option to fix it”. Two days, later, with no further communication, not even to schedule the original installer, I called and indicated I would take care of this myself. It is very unfortunate that with this company, the word of the customer has no value. I’ve had to defend myself that issues the installer left truly existed, and also, I’m told that I have no alternative but to have an installer come to my house and generate a tense situation. At no time did the owner reach out and try to resolve the situation. See the pictures. This is what $3000 of materials and installation looks like, and now I’m left to deal with it. And by the way, the website’s primary screen says, “Honesty, integrity, and Reliable Service with a 100% Money Back Guarantee”. I wonder if that will happen."

"It went great. I have a pellet stove, it has never been cleaned like this. They put a bag over the bottom of the stove liner, 1 tec on the roof, 1 tec inside. When finished I saw all the soot in the bag, WOW. They put the stove back together, cleaned up and explained everything they did. They were very friendly and pleasant to talk with. Today I started my stove and stared right up. I highly recommend them and would hire them again."

"Frank was a true professional. He arrived one evening and quoted me a price on the spot to paint the interior of my house. He didn't have waste any time. When I asked him for references, he was quick to provide them without hesitation like other contractors. Frank informed me that he would start painting at 8:00am and he arrived on time. Him and his crew worked to make small repairs to the plaster ceiling and walls before painting. I admired how he prepped the first day by taping the floors to minimize paint on the floors. The next day when he actually began painting I could see the difference in the one room he painted immediately, and I knew that I made the right choice hiring him. Frank communicated well and often throughout the project. He also provided ideas on paint colors and finishes. When the project was near completion, I expressed to Frank how some areas needed to be touched out and he did it with no resistance. "I am sure that all positive reviews for this company are fake. Nothing that was promised to me was delivered. My siding project is still ongoing for over 1 month. Was told that it would be done in week. Had one rain day. They have system like this: 1) sales person who never installed anything he will promise you things that obviously are not true, 2) crew that is subcontracted but not Gunner, mine was driving for over 2 hours away, 3) person who oversees the project but has little control over anything, no supply, doesn't know the crew, crew does not listen to him, main office does not listen to him, 4) main office does not reply to you. They just tell me to talk to project manager who has no control. So you understand that if there are any issue you are on your own. Quality or work is not good. Many times I had to point to the crew what's wrong, planks are broken yet they were still installing it, caulking is done they way that I can do it better, they cut wires to awning etc"

"Most awful company. They installed a new flat roof that that had a small leak where an adjacent sloped roof leaked. Millstream claimed only a new flat roof would resolve issue. The old flat roof had no leaks. The Millstream new flat roof has been leaking consistently since completion. They failed to properly supervise employees and refuse to make repairs. They blame the world but bury their heads to reality. The aesthetics of the job resembles something the 3 Stooges would have done. A mere sampling of photos attached. COMPANY IS TOXIC-STAY AWAY."
