"i desperately needed gutter cleaning the day before a major storm. I spoke with Dave initially and he worked with me to make it possible and sent out his crew by the afternoon to my house. His crew was so professional and worked very hard to make sure that all the work was done for me and they cleaned up and got rid of all the mess. This company could not have been nicer and helpful. I highly recommend them and am thankful that I found their business."

"The service was fast. The person who helped me went above and beyond the call of duty. This company really helped our family. We are new to Connecticut and was faced with lots of debris that the garbage company would not take. They came in gathered it up and hauled it away. The service was fast. The price was right. I will hire them again!"

"The Junk Boys crew truly did an amazing job getting rid of junk for me. They were clean, efficient, and super easy to work with. I’ve had many people do junk removal for me before, and Junk Boys are the only team I would rehire. They are now my go-to for junk removal, and I highly recommend them. In addition to doing great work, the Junk Boys are also super friendly and nice."

Hauling questions, answered by experts

There are several small, inexpensive upgrades you can make to upgrade your basement. Although you still need to adhere to building codes and obtain permits when necessary, you can complete small but mighty tasks like painting the masonry walls and installing entertainment devices to make the space more usable.

Disposing of old paint, bleach, oil, and fertilizer should be handled by a company that specializes in this kind of waste. Many private junk removal companies do not dispose of these items. Because these materials are hazardous to the environment and dangerous to handle or dispose of improperly, you should confirm with your local municipality about places to take hazardous materials for safe disposal.

The best way to choose the right dumpster size for your project is to speak with a reputable dumpster rental company. Let them know what job you’re doing, including the size of the project and the type of material you’re disposing of. These professionals have experience with fitting heavy and bulky items and can advise on how to dispose of everything safely and legally. A representative should be able to guide you in choosing the best dumpster for the job. In most cases, the company will advise you to size up to avoid overage charges.

When deciding what order to pack your home, starting with non-essential items such as seasonal decor, rarely used kitchenware, and extra linens is always a smart idea. Next, pack decorations and out-of-season clothing. Then move to kitchen items, electronics, and bathroom supplies, leaving essentials for last. Finally, pack a "first-night" box with must-haves like toiletries, clothes, and essential documents.

There are several ways to dispose of excess sod, including building a compost pile, taking it to a green waste disposal facility, donating the sod, or reusing it in another part of your yard. It’s a good idea to check with your local municipality to see how to get rid of yard waste, as some areas have local regulations on what can go in the green waste bin. For example, your recycling services may reject too much soil added to green waste.
