"We had our interior painted by Fernandez Painting, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. From start to finish, the project was handled with professionalism and care. The team was punctual, respectful of our home, and paid great attention to detail. The paint lines are clean, the coverage is flawless, and the final look completely refreshed our space. They took the time to answer our questions and made sure everything was done exactly as we wanted. The project was completed on schedule and the space was left spotless. We would absolutely recommend their interior painting services to anyone looking for high-quality work and excellent customer service."

"Brothers & Brushes did a great job. The first visit with them was an easy process going over the room we wanted to get painted. Shawn and I walked the room pointing out imperfections that needed to fixed, he took pictures of the room and the things I requested to be fixed, a quote was emailed within a few days and they’re online contract was easy to understand, read and sign. When Brothers & Brushes was here while painting the room, they were asking if he had any concerns about there work, when they put the new wall paint on the wall, they asked if we liked it before painting the whole room. Their attention to detail was great."

"I will definitely use them again. The only reason I did not give them all 5s is because I need to see how the paint holds up after the winter. They were easy to work with and finished early. I would have liked to have paid less but all and all I am very happy with them."

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

You can paint over cracked paint, but only if you properly sand down the damaged areas. Once the surface is as smooth as you can get it, clean the walls and let them dry before applying a new coat of paint. Painting over cracked paint without sanding or cleaning beforehand will not cover up the cracks and may even make them look worse.

Removing paint from brick can have both aesthetic and practical value. Some people prefer the timeless look of bare brick, making it worthwhile to remove old paint layers. Brick also lasts longer when unpainted, as paint traps moisture, causing the brick to deteriorate more quickly. If your brick walls are already in bad shape, stripping the paint off might do more harm than good.

Yes, a magic eraser can remove candle wax. You can use it to remove all the candle wax from start to finish. Another option is to remove all large clumps with a dull knife and then pull out your magic eraser to finish the job. However, while the results can be impressive, a magic eraser shouldn’t be used on all surfaces since it can potentially damage them. If you try this method, test a small, hidden spot first and proceed cautiously.

You can find chemical and naturally derived paint thinners to remove paint without as much sanding. A heat gun or pressure washer can also remove paint from large areas. However, sanding is often the best way to remove the final bits of paint that remain on the surface.

Costs range from $2 to $7 per square foot, depending on surface type, paint layers, and removal method.
