"Ted and Robert arrived, got right t to it and within a few hours we had 2 ceiling fans installed, one which had no existing light so it was a more involved project. They were professional and stuck to their original quote! To say we are impressed is an understatement. We strongly recommend using Connole Electric."

"I lost power in one of my bedrooms and submitted this project the wee hours of Sunday morning and by 10am that same day James reached out to me to inquire to what the issue was. He was willing to come out on a Sunday, but recommended scheduling an appointment to not have to charge premium weekend rates, but I was just glad to receive a quick response. He came out the next business day and it ended up being an easy fix. I’m the type to ask a lot of questions and he was very patient with me in answering. Overall I had a great experience and will use his services on an even bigger project in the upcoming months as well. Highly recommend!"

Ev Charger Installer questions, answered by experts

Charging your EV every night isn’t always necessary. Most EVs have sufficient range to cover daily commutes without needing a nightly charge, particularly if you have a Level 2 charger. Charging once every few days or as needed can prolong the battery’s lifespan.

Upgrading your electrical system can save you money on your monthly utility bills by powering your home more efficiently. Electrification nonprofit Rewiring America estimates that a household could save $1,800 per year on energy bills by upgrading to a modern electric heat pump, switching to a heat pump for their water, installing solar panels on the roof, and converting to an electric vehicle.

Yes, you should get a quote or an estimate from an electrician. Most electricians offer free estimates or quotes. When getting quotes, do your research and verify each electrician’s license. Get quotes from three different electricians to compare. If the prices or items listed appear different on the quotes, ask the electrician to clarify. Learning as much as you can about the electrical work you want done will help you get the most accurate estimate.

Hire an electrician the same way you would an employee. Ask questions and look for a good fit. Streamline the process by using these questions to ask an electrician. It's also common to ask for a quote in writing. Don’t forget to provide all the project details to ensure there are no surprises or opportunities for added fees.

You can plug your electric car into a regular 120-volt household outlet only if you’re using a Level 1 charger. This method is slower and may take several days to fully charge your EV. For faster charging, you’ll need a Level 2 charger, which requires a 220- or 240-volt outlet.
