"I sent a quote request to Jose the other day to replace my chimney cap which had blown off earlier in the week. About an hour later I got a phone call and that evening he came by to assess the job and provide me a quote. The next morning at 8am, he was on my roof getting the job done. For the gutters, he removed my gutter guards, cleaned out everything thoroughly, and sent me pictures showing me his work. I will absolutely call Jose again in the future for similar jobs. I've already recommended him to a few people for gutter cleaning services, hopefully they will be calling him soon."

"Anthony Masonry and chimney did an excellent job clearing a ton of trees and vines from my property. They were efficient and pleasant to work with - would 10 / 10 higher this company again. I also had them do some stonework leading up to my house, which came out phenomenal."

"The chimney work took two days (less than I thought) and he did a great job in our price range!  I was impressed that he gave us several options on what could be done.  He worked fast (I wish I had half his energy) and knew what he was doing.  He was respectful of my time and showed up within minutes of when he said he would, got to work and stayed with it to get as much done during the day as he could.  The chimney looks great and I'm very satisfied with his work.  I have hired him again to do some plumbing work for me and was totally satisfied with that job as well.  I would recommend him for any work around the house that you may have - he's definitely worth the call.

"I have used Christian Tree Service for my two houses in the past 6 years several times. The projects include removing nasty bushes, taking down tall trees & pruning, grinding stumps, and landscaping, etc. They are professional, careful, and quick with reasonable prices. They also have a masonry crew who built a paver patio in my new house. All nice works done."

"After years of talking about fixing the collapsing stone walls along the front of our property, we contacted Larry Walsh of Majestic to get a quote on rebuilding them. Larry quoted us what we considered a fair price and he began the work on a timely basis. Larry wasn't there all the time because of other projects, yet his men were hard workers and efficient.  Even our neighbor across the street commented to us about how  he never saw them hanging around smoking or chit-chatting.  They were always focused on the job.  The resulting walls were exactly what we had hoped they would be.  We are very pleased with Majestic Masonry and highly recommend them.

Chimney Caps questions, answered by experts

No, range hoods do not necessarily have to be vented outside. Ductless or non-vented range hoods are available, which are common in condos or small kitchens where connecting to external ductwork isn't feasible. These hoods operate by taking in air, filtering it through charcoal filters to help eliminate smoke and odors, and then recirculating the cleaned air back into the kitchen. However, while these recirculating hoods are more versatile, venting to the outside is still the preferred and more effective method for completely removing smoke, odors, and gases from the room.

Most residential range hoods have a CFM between 200 and 600. A higher CFM means your range hood is better at removing smoke and odors from your kitchen. The measurement ultimately depends on your stove’s width and heat output as well as the size of your kitchen.

Compared to the average size of a stove and kitchen, 350 CFM would be the minimum recommended rating for the average kitchen. However, selecting a higher CFM range hood would guarantee better ventilation to match your cooking habits, whether they’re minimal or extensive.

Yes, with features like LED lighting and variable speed controls for efficiency.

Neglected maintenance can lead to odors, fire hazards, impaired airflow, and reduced range and hood operation efficiency.

Smooth galvanized metal ducting is best and safest for venting a hood range. It’s best to avoid flexible and corrugated types of ducting, as these options don’t provide ample airflow and may not meet local code. For specific advice on which type of duct might be best for your kitchen, reach out to a range hood installation professional.
