"I was very impressed with David's responsiveness and every member of his crew was a pleasure. They completely removed the kitchen floor (and several layers of subfloor) in my 100+ year-old home, made repairs to floor joists and installed new flooring that looks beautiful. It was an evolving project and I appreciated the team's flexibility and speed with which they completed the project."

"This Company is Amazing! They came out the next day after contacting them, removed my hot tub and some construction debris and left the area spotless. I couldn’t believe how fast they worked and the price was by far the best. I will be using them in the future and highly recommend!!"

Small jobs welcome

"He called instantly, prefers to get cash. He said he would PULL the weeds and long vines out, but instead weed whacked, leaving a lot of vines still in the ground and only cutting off at the top of the bush. Cutting it that way will allow the vines to multiply in strength. I got one of the workers to pull the vines out of the ground to delay future vines. There was some complaint that I had a lot of poison ivy, what they were looking at was wild raspberries with thorns and berries. Bush trimming worked out pretty well and because I was watching the job unfold I was also able to modify how much cutting was actually done. If possible it’s best that you are out there with them making sure that you get your moneys worth . While removing the wild raspberries, hosta plants & ferns were quite trampled, they did remove the debris and weed whacked my walkways. I felt the cost was rather high, but I needed to get the weeds out. They should educate themselves about poison ivy. Be specific."

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

While not all homes built before 1978 contain lead paint, enough do, so you’ll still want to test to be on the safe side. The federal government banned lead-based paint for homes in 1978, but your state may have banned lead before that time. Around 24% of homes built between 1960 and 1977 contained lead-based paint, while 87% of homes built before 1940 contained lead-based paint.

When a surface that contains lead dust is disturbed, the dust can float about in the air for roughly an hour before settling again. Since you cannot see the dust, it is important always to wear protective gear when working with any materials that may contain lead paint and to keep children, pets, and others away from the area for as long as possible

Household products such as paints, cleaners, oils, and batteries are considered hazardous and should not be disposed of with regular household waste. Instead, look for local household hazardous waste collection facilities where you can safely dispose of these items without harming the environment or human health.

The safest way to remove lead-based paint is by letting a professional take over. For most people, lead paint removal costs an average of $3,400. You should never attempt to dry sand old lead-based paint surfaces by hand. Most professionals use a paint stripper to do the job followed by wet scraping, but if you don’t want to remove lead paint, another option is to paint over it. Only consider this option if the old lead paint finish isn’t flaking or cracked.

Lead removal can take a few days to several weeks, depending on the work needed, particularly if the lead is widespread and in hard-to-reach areas.
