"First rate! Arrived on time and worked non-stop until work was finished. Had a water leaks on the ceiling below two bathrooms in the garage, plumbers had to cut out several pieces of sheetrock in order to access the drainpipes. Nixon and his crew replaced the insulation and the sheetrock. They had to work around the garage door opener, the space was very tight. The ceiling looks like new, I am very pleased with the result. Also replaced a missing piece of sheetrock in the wall, and insulated a coldwater pipe without my asking."

"I closed on a house that had wall-to-wall carpet in most of the rooms a week before going on vacation. I contacted Five Star and Ricardo responded right away, we scheduled for him to come see the job that needed to be done (he was very punctual), and did the work while I was away and the house was still empty. I had 2 other estimates and his price was the most reasonable. Since the house was empty and some of the work had to be done at night there were some minor issues such as a few staples (literally about 5) that were not fully removed and a spot that was missed due to lack of adequate lighting. Ricardo showed up to take care of those issues himself. Ricardo was alway courteous and professional."

"The plaster walls and ceilings in our home looked as though they applied with a mop.  There were significant cracks and a lot of texture.  In order to smooth the walls, we asked Gilson to skim coat until smooth and then paint. 
In summary, Gilson is a professional, meticulous and trustworthy.  He showed up when he said he would, worked hard and did an an incredible job. 
I knew this was going to be a long and diffuclt job due to the amount of skim coating and painting.  Gilson took it on and did it right.  Not only was the finished work better than we had expected, he cleaned up every day before he left and helped move furniture room to room so that it wouldn't get dirty.
Towards the end of the project, we had to leave for vacation for a week.  We left a key for him and when we came home, the house was spotless.

"Initial visit and estimate was professional and prompt.   Work started when promised.   Work area and surrounding living spaces were kept dust free throughout.  Basement has low headroom and Luis consulted with us before performing leveling in certain spots where loss of height might matter.   Once work started he suggested other improvements that were valuable and not included in the initial agreement but did not charge extra.   Additionally, several doors had to be removed before tiling started and while I was prepared to trim the bottoms myself so that they could be put back, to my surprise, Luis and his team trimmed the doors and reinstalled - not expected.    Overall, the result was excellent and we would use LAV again in a heartbeat.
