"Marcos and his team did an amazing job in my home. I had new flooring put in on my first floor and my wood railing refinished. I am extremely happy with their work and would highly, highly recommend them for any flooring or wood refinishing project you are looking to do."

We are a small family company which is dedicated to Serving through Cleaning. Few things keep customers longer in a business, than it having a clean inviting space. We believe every room in a commercial building should be as clean as a home, because the people who have the privilede to work in them, are there longer they are at home at times. They should be able to enjoy a clean space. We also feel as if every room in a home should be as clean as a baby's nursery, because we assume you are raising generations and every family member including a baby should be able to explore in a clean environment. \n\nWe understand that we get the opportunity to work with you, your staff and/or your family, so we never take opportunities lightly.

"I recently had my shingle roof replaced and I?m very happy with the results. The team was professional, punctual, and completed the job efficiently. The quality of the work is excellent, and the new roof looks great. They kept the work area clean and communicated well throughout the process. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing a roof replacement."

"BHI Tile did a terrific job fixing significant mold issues we had in two bathrooms – in a tub-shower and in a Fiberglass shower stall – and replacing eroded caulking at the base of kitchen backsplash tile along a counter. Less than 24 hours after I contacted him, Billy Henderson came to our home to survey our problems. Removal and replacement of old, moldy caulk from the tub would be straightforward he explained, as would replacement of the kitchen caulking that had been poorly done by an earlier, different contractor. His careful inspection of the shower stall, which had been installed years before we owned the house, revealed a more complicated problem of mold hidden behind portions of the overlapping Fiberglass walls (due to gaps left during careless installation). Billy explained the problem carefully, and then explained the steps he would take to solve it – first using steam cleaning between the two layers of Fiberglass panels where the mold had grown, and then – after allowing time for drying -- carefully sealing the gaps and seams that had allowed the problem to develop in the first place. The price he quoted was very fair, and we asked him to go ahead as soon as he could. He kindly agreed to come two days later at 8 a.m. He arrived precisely on time and immediately set to work. By about 11:30 that morning he had finished the job. The tub looks great. The seam where the kitchen counter meets the tile backsplash is now properly sealed and protected from water intrusion. And the shower stall is properly fixed: newly steam-cleaned, dried, and now fully caulked in all the places that had let moisture accumulate and mold sprout. The work was done by the time Billy had predicted, the areas where he had worked were carefully cleaned up, and the cost was exactly what he had quoted to us when he first came to see the problems. We couldn’t ask for a better job! We will certainly look to Billy Henderson for future needs!"

"No 2-hr. presentation to sit through. No sales-speak. Just a small contracting company bent on doing quality work for an affordable price! Start your search by calling Karol Kurkowski of KBK Construction and save yourself a lot of time. 9 times out of 10, he'll answer the phone! Who does that these days? Karol and/or Zibi were on site every day usually starting at 8:30am. Being an old house, nothing was square. It was necessary to pour a self-leveling concrete floor, which took a few days to dry. Even so, they completed the whole job, surprises and all, in under 2 weeks. Many people like tile. I'm not one of them. I wanted a MAAX 80" acrylic tub wall kit, from tub to ceiling. Who knew that it would be so difficult to find a contractor to install it? I'm so grateful that Karol agreed to and did a fine job. Besides doing quality work for a reasonable price, they were a pleasure to work with - always polite and conscientious, and cleaning up at the end of each day."

Floor Cleaning and Waxing questions, answered by experts

Distilled white vinegar can help you remove candle wax from surfaces like countertops. You’ll need to scrape off most of the wax and use the distilled white vinegar to help soften and remove the rest and leftover residue. Keep in mind that while it’s possible, using distilled white vinegar isn’t an effective method for removing wax compared to the methods listed above.

If you have waxed floors or floors with a penetrating stain or oil, you can shine them up with some more wax and a cloth or floor buffer. After cleaning the floor thoroughly, apply wax to the floor in small sections and use a clean, dry cloth or towel to buff it until it shines. You can also use an electric polisher, which is especially handy for large floors.

The cost for professional floor cleaning is $250 on average. This cost can range from $100 to $1,500, depending on the type of flooring and its square footage.

For example, natural stone flooring requires specialized techniques and care, so you'll spend closer to the higher end of the cost range. The cost of cleaning tile and grout is more cost-effective, where you'll pay an average of $0.50 to $3.50 per square foot.

Most DIY floor cleaners don’t require rinsing, but you’ll want to make sure you don’t add too much dish soap or oil to the cleaner to avoid having to rinse it after cleaning. For non-wood floors, mix 8 parts warm water, 1 part vinegar, and 1 part baking soda with a few drops of dish soap. For wood floors, use olive oil in that same mixture instead of the vinegar. You can let these solutions air-dry after cleaning your floors with them, although you should manually dry your floors if they aren’t waterproof.

You should strip and wax hardwood floors every six months to two years. The actual length of time between stripping and waxing depends on the wear and tear that the floors see. Stripping and waxing floors can help repair hardwood floor damage and give the room a fresh look.
