"Beware of shipping issues with this company. Ordered an ice maker installation kit on 10/10/25. Shipping was due no later than 10/20 according to company and FedEx tracking. FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day. Poudre Valley Air is a full service heating and air conditioning company that has been serving Northern Colorado and Southern Wyoming since 1973. Offering services for residential, new construction and light commercial. You are invited to stop by and meet their friendly staff, visit their fully functional and interactive show room and ask questions. We are a Trane dealer, Better Business Bureau (BBB) certified, a member of the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA), and have North American Technician Excellence (NATE) certified technicians.

"Horrible customer service. Left a message and two online requests for a call back during the week. Did get back to me on a Saturday and charged a lot to come and attempt to fix my air. Was happy to see them (95 degrees)so I had no issue paying the exorbitant weekend fees during the first visit on Saturday. ( note this company advertises 7 days a week but omits reference to weekend costs on their marketing materials). Technician showed up and worked on our issue while multitasking others issues on the phone during our service but felt he had the fix…9 pm that evening our system froze up again and I made a call for help! The technician called me back and said he would come back on Sunday to “warranty” repair the unit. (Tech Dominik was very nice and was professional) I mentioned that if they were going to charge me the exorbitant rates again I would wait until Monday for service. I was told they were too busy and the next week didnt look good as they were so swamped. No choice…Warranty work, but have to pay extra? Tech came back out on Sunday…I had to cancel plans with family because this rework/diag couldnt be done during the week. Tech was here for a couple of hours and I had hoped that because of the company not fixing the first time and having to cut my weekend plan short the nice thing to do would be to not charge, at the least, all of the 1.5 rate. Spoke with an “ego” from the office (Will in dispatch) as I mentioned to the tech that I would appreciate a call from his boss…didnt have the courtesy to phone me but he did want to lecture me on the techs own speaker phone. What a horrible tactic. Rude and unprofessional. Long story short…use another company that respects its customers. Lots of great companies out there that would be appreciative of your business ! Lost me as a customer…will be forwarding complaint to all that are willing to listen and to the BBB and Trane."

"An excellent experience from start to finish! I left a message with Quick Appliance for them to give me a quote for a dryer repair. Their friendly office person responded within the hour and had me a booked appointment for me within the next 48 hours (one bigger company I contacted had promised me 10 days!). The technician, Nohea, was on time and extremely polite, warm and professional in our home. While we decided that the problems with the dryer were too big to warrant repair, he was able to diagnose the problems and give me alternatives, including timelines and costs. As I say, my wife and I immediately decided to replace the dryer - and even then Nohea suggested some recommendations of where to buy new. I would not hesitate to recommend Quick Appliance to others. Thank you!"

2008 years of experience

Appliancezone.com is a leading on-line retailer of appliance parts and accessories for do-it-yourself homeowners. Incorporated in 2008, it was started by CEO, Jim Allen and his wife Paula, who operated an appliance repair business for nearly fourteen years prior to starting the internet company Appliance Zone.

"This is the first online review I've ever written -- my experience with this company was that bad. Three aspects that deserve attention: 1) I placed an order and tried to cancel six minutes later. Turns out they don't accept cancellations. 2) I couldn't find a phone number, so I had to work the return/refund by email. The exchange was painful -- so unhelpful I felt like I was interacting with a bad chatbot. 3) I ended up eating shipping costs (expected) and got hit for a 50% restocking fee (unexpected) because I refused the package instead of paying to ship it back. Didn't matter that it went to the correct address, was clearly labeled, and had prior return authorization. So I ended up with a $21 refund on a $60 order, and a lesson learned about where not to buy appliance parts."

"The person performing the service had to make several trips because one of the "new" parts turned out to be faulty. I found both Complete Protection and their local repair contractor to be both very responsive and totally professional at every stage of the repair process."

Ge Appliance Repair questions, answered by experts

The best way to tell is if there’s a label, but there are other methods. Gas heaters will have gas lines leading to the unit, with a pilot light near the bottom of the tank (this is sometimes behind a small panel). Electric units often have lights to signal if they’re heating or not and may have electric panels to control the unit. If there is a vent pipe leading from your heater, it’s almost certainly gas-powered.

Generally, it will take a few hours, considering the removal of old units and installation adjustments.

On average, most electric ovens will last up to 13 years, and most gas ovens can last up to 15 years. To get the most out of your oven, it’s essential to properly clean and maintain it to prevent buildup. Generally, a good deep cleaning of your oven every three months will keep it clean and working correctly for years to come.

Yes. Not only do gas stoves present the risk of a gas leak, but cooking with gas produces twice as much harmful particulate matter. According to Columbia University’s Climate School, gas stoves can also release formaldehyde, a known human carcinogen, and carbon monoxide, which can be toxic in high concentrations.

If your unit is more than 10 years old and facing constant repairs, replace it with a new air conditioner. If the unit is under 10 years old but repairs total more than $5,000, consult your warranty. If repairs still cost more than $5,000 after warranty coverage, go ahead and replace the unit. Keep the lifespan of an AC unit and the cost of maintenance in mind when deciding whether to repair or replace an air conditioner.
