FreshStart Restoration

We hired FreshStart to do a mold inspection on a house we were looking to purchase. Ben came out and did the inspection and found no evidence of mold. He did give hints for what we could do post purchase to help prevent mold from occurring in both the basement and the attic. Was very satisfied with the inspection and will hire FreshStart Restoration if we ever need services for mold remediation.

Ben Fetzer and his two man crew did an outstanding job. They showed up on time, ready to work. They stayed at it until the job was complete, about 14 hours. They cut out sheetrock where necessary, removed all materials, then coated all exposed areas with an antimicrobial solution. My wife and I are completely satisfied with the work, and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Ben Fetzer was more than great. We first requested and paid for a thorough mold inspection the weekend prior to the work being done. He found the leak and mold in the basement. He was able to come out the same week to remediate the mold and remove the ruined drywall, and even found and fixed more areas that we weren't aware of. He did a very thorough job and was reasonably priced. Ben also gave some great recommendations on other service providers in the area. If you have any concern about mold, Ben is the person to call and will definitely fix any problems. After using his services three times, I would always recommend him and trust his work.

It well well. The guys were on time, courteous, and professional. He left some equipment over night so that I could get full use of it since it was a rental. Answered all my questions and was reasonably priced.

Very well. I had extensive problems on vaulted wood ceilings due to a bad roof replacement job. Ben Fetzer came out to give estimate and was very detailed and helpful in explaining what needed to be done and the sequence of events that would need to be coordinated with the roofers. I had some doubts as Ben's company is a smaller private company so I had a larger corporate mold company come out also. They were very quick to assess the situation, but did not take much time to explain the process. When I received the estimates, Ben's was 1/3 the cost of the other bid. When I compared the bids, the larger company was estimating three times the square footage. I called Ben to make sure he had measured correctly and he felt confident he had. Therefore, I chose him for his honesty and his willingness to answer all my questions and make me feel confident he could do the job well.

Ben Fetzer and his co-worker Matt did a super job. The first step was to inspect the area and get some air samples to send to the lab. He did this on time and we got results the next day, which he emailed to us. He also provided us with a detailed and easy-to-read quote for the actual repairs, which outlined everything that needed to be done. During the actual mold removal, Ben and Matt were very thorough in isolating the affected areas from the rest of the house, with plastic sheeting covering the floor, and hanging down from the ceiling. The affected area was very high up, so they had to install scaffolding to be able to get to it safely. They tore out the damaged drywall and insulation, and cleaned the wood studs carefully. They took many good photos of the damaged drywall, showing mold and water damage, and sent them to us for insurance purposes. After the first day, we saw that the damage was more extensive than we originally thought, so we agreed that he should come out again to continue removing damaged material. Ben gave us a quote for the additional work and showed up promptly the next morning. He and Matt installed more plastic sheeting and moved the scaffolding so they could continue working. When they were finished, they cleaned up all the debris and removed the plastic sheeting, except for some that we requested that they leave, so that the repair contractor would have an easier time controlling dust when installing new drywall. Ben's bid for the additional work was pretty much spot-on. During the entire process, Ben was extremely professional, meticulous and responsive, showing up on time and minimizing the disruption to our household. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing mold remediation.

We could not be more pleased with the service provided. Ben was very responsive and knowledgeable. He explained in detail what needed to be done and how much it was going to cost. He was on time and there were no surprises on the bill once the work was complete. I would recommend him for any kind of mold services. He also sent a hand written thank you note thanking us for our business a few days later. I though that was a really nice touch.

The repairs were more extensive than they first thought, but Ben did his best to make sure that I didn't have to pay more than necessary, and that they were able to reuse all the materials they could. They did all the repairs in just a few days, even with the additional work that was needed. I will definitely use them again in the future if needed.

Wonderful job! Very efficient and thorough. I would definitely recommend them.

They worked very hard in cleaning all surfaces and items. After the cleaning and containerizing of our items they sprayed our basement with an antibacterial fluid and cleaned the air with two large HEPA filters. Ben and his team conducted themselves in a friendly and professional manor.

Their business in the "brush" cleaner and I was expecting "steam" cleaning.  
Completely my fault and with that being said, they did an exceptional job on cleaning the carpets through out my 2nd floor.
4 bedrooms and a walk in closet.

Two young guys arrived on time were fast, efficient and complete.

Our appointment was set for 9AM and Ben called ahead of time to inform us he was on his way and at what time he would arrive.  He was punctual and friendly.  A detailed inspection was performed that resulted in a detailed written report including a subsequent estimate of the cost.  Ben was very patient and answered all of the questions we had.  We accepted the bid.
A date was set for the work and Ben called the morning that was scheduled to let me know he was on the way and his estimated time of arrival.  He arrived on time with another worker and they began their setup for the job.  The procedure was explained in detail again by Ben.  The mold remediation and complete sanitation of the basement was a two day process.  The results were spectacular!  My wife and I were very pleased with the results and would recommend FreshStart to anyone for the remediation of mold in their dwelling.
