They were responsive when I called. Since my problem wasn’t an active leak they had someone out within a couple days Told me I didn’t need a plumber, that I needed the tub re caulked. Appreciated the honesty. They also gave me a referral to someone that could fix my problem. Now I’ve found an actual leak and have called them back. Very happy so far with customer service. Seems to be a rare thing lately.

"Emergency same day service for plumbing that had been neglected for years can be costly. Please call us before the faucet wont shutoff and valves dont work so we can value price an schedule your plumbing needs. We seem to meet folks and their plumbing at their worst sometimes. A half star rating out of 5 is hardly a way to communicate issues you have. Perhaps talking before would have had more value for you. And as always, you can hire who you want, so feel feel to shop around!!"

"Mark, All of the the work for this job thus far was done out of pocket. Mid-way through the project, we were asked to make changes to the plan that would have violated code, and put my license our license in danger. I had no choice but to remove our name from the permit since the project could not be legally completed as requested. I am more than happy to discuss the options on this project! They did a nice job on my water line but they destroyed my lawn irrigation system in the process. They knew it when they did it, but they buried the broken pipes and left. When we brought this to their attention they acknowledged that they did the damage but refused to pay for the repairs. Never hire these guys.

"The job was in Winter time freezing conditions and he had a broken water main so being Friday night we all helped him out and replaced his water main to his house. Obviously we're not gonna fix the sprinkler system and re energize to test in the middle of winter. He was told to give us a call and we would fix it in spring. He decided to hire somebody else, tried to pass the $400 bill on to us in which we refused. Nothing like being bullied by the customer! We offered credit for future work. Online bully with threats to destroy us online! Fake News!"

I had a very simple issue to reconnect a pipe under the sink. Response time was within a couple hours and it was completed in under 5 mins. Great, except 5 Star was not honest with me. I called to cancel within 30 secs. when HomeAdvisor said the price was between $250 & $350. 5 Star said they didn't quote the price. I asked how much for this simple job and they said it was better to let him look at the job. It was $189. I was shocked. I believe I was overcharged by $90 to $100 based upon what my regular plumber charges. Unfortunately he was out of town. I won't be using HomeAdvisor again. The web page says you'll get 3 quotes. NO. When you submit the request an appointment is automatically booked without a valid quote. VERY, VERY unhappy.

"Rebecca, I wish we could make it better for you, suggestions welcome! The biggest factor driving plumbing cost now days is internet advertising. Plumbers, have to hire a marketing team for, I think the word here is "overpriced" keywords to find customers. The similar competitive market is for lawyers. A good plumbing company should have a lawyer and pay their cost, along with a good CPA, your almost ready to go clear clogged up toilets for what people will call "way overpriced". Just fyi, our cost can be as high as $200 per lead, whether or not we get the job."

The team from 5 Star showed up promptly (even a bit early), diagnosed the best way to fix our valve leak, and got to work. Mike did a good job of explaining possible ways to fix the problem, and he and Dakota worked efficiently to accomplish that. They were able to work within a small area, not damaging our walls and cleaned up everything when they were done. Both of them were very pleasant and kept me informed of progress throughout the job. Plumbing work is always more expensive than we expect it to be, but I felt they worked with me on the price, and they did a great job.
