I specialize in remodeling; Demolition and removal of walls and flooring, to trim and paint. Everything between. I do some minor plumbing and electrical. Nothing that requires licensing, however. I've been in the construction industry for 13 years professionally. I've worked in steel framing, concrete, roofing, painting, wood framing, but I've been in remodels and carpentry for majority of my experience. I can do incredible things with wood and a saw.

Residential Roof Contractor. Repair, replace, new installation, Emergency and after hours roof services available. Low or steep slope. Owner operated and Fully Insured! We use 50% more nails per shingle then our competitors. Our customer service will leave you raving. We warranty our work.

"Awesome! Mark McLaughlin with 1 Valley 2 Peaks roofing is the BEST! My new roof is beautiful and done right! It was a challenge for sure but Mark had no problem dealing with the surprises it presented along the way. My original roof had no venitlation and the original builder had vented the bathrooms int a very small attic with NO outlet. Moisture damage and mold had taken hold. In addition my house is 2 stories with many different pitches and angles and dormer windows. I now have the perfect roof complete with a Ridge Vent system and proper ventilation for the bathrooms. Mark was very patient, sincere, honest and clean! If you need a beautiful roof done right, call Mark McLaughlin with 1 Valley 2 Peaks Roofing!"

20 years roofing experience with metal, shingles, TPO, EPDM systems.

"Not well. He overcharged me because he was not prepared when he came out and knew what he needed. Made two trips to a hardware store with a worker and charged $65 while the guy sat in the car. He was defensive and rude when I questioned how he spent 6 hrs. on a small job. He started in on me that he pays X amount out of every dollar for work comp (part of his cost of doing business) and he dropped everything to come my "small job". He may be an okay roofer but he should stay away from people; he doesn't know how to talk to them. Starting off on the defensive is a stupid business practice at best. He is rude and stupid and I would never use him and will tell everyone I know to stay away from this jerk."

Roof Ice and Snow Removal questions, answered by experts

When starting the engine, you typically leave the choke on a snowblower in the "choke" or "closed" position. After starting, let the engine run for a few minutes to warm up. Then, gradually open the choke, moving it to the "open" or "run" position, allowing more air into the engine and transitioning to a normal fuel-air mixture. The exact duration varies based on the snowblower model and ambient temperature, but as a general rule, you should open the choke once the engine has stabilized and runs smoothly, typically within a few minutes.

How much snow can a roof hold? The answer could help you to avoid roof collapse—a worst-case scenario, of course. For most roofs, you can expect it to withstand four feet of fresh snow, two feet of packed snow, or two to three feet of a mix of old and new snow. However, your roof will only be able to handle one inch of ice. The actual weight capacity of your roof may vary, so check with whoever built it for exact details.

Removal typically takes 30 minutes to 1 hour per item, depending on accessibility and size.

The best time to hire a snow removal professional is long before snow falls in your area. Signing up for a seasonal contract not only provides peace of mind that your property will be cleared every time it snows, but it’s also often more affordable to sign a contract than paying for one-off services. If you prefer one-off shoveling services, you should contact your snow removal company the day before a storm is expected to schedule service. You can also call the morning of the snowfall, but this might result in delays.

There is no hard and fast rule about using a snowblower on a specific amount of inches, but most snow removal experts suggest using one on 2 or more inches of snow for best results. This will also depend on what type of surface you’re working on and whether the snow is dry or wet.
