"The guy that came to my house was very professional and knowledgeable. I loved that he took the time to actually explain what he was going to do and how his product worked. After he explained his method of getting rid of all kinds of pests I will not be using any other pest control company other than Zerobugs. So far we havenâ t had any more problems with rodents! Thank you Zerobug!!"

"My dog found a dead squirrel in the front yard on Wednesday evening, 10/4/23. I began my internet search to find a company to handle a quick and humane disposal of the squirrel. Very few companies advertise this service, so I contacted at least 5 companies. Best Pest and Wildlife Control responded immediately on Thursday. Sean was very professional, knowledgeable, friendly and connected me with the local team who immediately scheduled me for an early Friday morning appointment. I was contacted by the Technician first thing in the morning and he arrived within a half hour. Bailey was polite, professional, knowledgeable and picked up the squirrel and disinfected the area where the squirrel laid to rest. I had a concern about the billing which they immediately resolved. This company is very professional, knowlegable and professional, doing what they say they will do. I highly recommend them."

"I have done business with this company for 30 or so years. Back when they were Shaffer sprinklers that installed my system. Over the years, they made additions to the system for drip system and made changes for a new deck. It was 30yrs before any big work had to be done on the system. They just replaced the controller and as I said the old one lasted 30 years. Longer than most anything I own. Simon was our latest technician. He was ver"

Bird Control questions, answered by experts

A treatment from a pest control service can last anywhere from 3 to 6 months, depending on the type of treatment, what pest it’s treating, and what environment you live in. This is why pest control service companies often offer packages where they come out multiple times a year to apply treatment to the outside or inside of your home.

Cockroaches, ants, flies, bed bugs, and termites are common in business environments.

Woodpeckers may seek out homes with aluminum siding or tin roofs because these surfaces echo their drumming. Homes with wood siding are more frequently targeted as roosting areas or for food sources. If you have insects living in the exposed wood in your home, the birds are likely looking for a snack, in which case your best option is to hire an exterminator.

When it comes to keeping birds from doing their business on your porch rails, you have several DIY options and home remedies you can try:

  • Tie a fishing line from one end of the deck post to the other. Birds won’t be able to see the line across the railing, so they can’t land on it.

  • Hang wind chimes close by, which may scare birds away.

  • Apply a bird gel repellent to the railings, which contains smells that birds generally don’t like. Or, similarly, you can apply citronella or lemon oil around the railings, since birds don’t like strong smells.

Finding a dead bat in your home can be frightening, even during spooky season. The United States Department of Interior states that if you find a dead bat, take these steps:

  • Contact your state wildlife agency to report the finding

  • Photograph the bat safely to help the wildlife agency determine the species

  • Use disposable gloves to place the bat into a plastic bag, making sure to spray with disinfectant and close the bag securely

  • Thoroughly clean your hands and any clothing that came into contact with the bat

If you see one dead bat, you might have a large bat infestation that needs to be treated immediately. Call a local pest control company to properly inspect your home for other bats.
