"Had to reschedule the first appointment due to a miscommunication. The communication issue was from a "new hire" in training at the company. Understandable. ACs don't run on water. They're not connected to drain pipes or any part of your plumbing system. However, they need refrigerant to run. Refrigerant is a gas or liquid that has a low boiling point and absorbs the heat in your home. ACs need this in order to be functional and cool your home. If you suspect your AC is low on refrigerant, you need to contact a licensed HVAC professional. Refrigerant is a dangerous chemical that requires specialized training and permits to work with. 

Ideally, an AC system should never need more Freon (a popular refrigerant) because it circulates in a closed loop.
