Customers say: Quick response

"I will echo what the other reviewers have written. Very competent, hardworking crew. Completely removed 2 trees - 1 huge leaning pine - and left fences, irrigation, and other landscaping untouched. Ground up the stump in the lawn. Shaped and trimmed three other trees away from contact with powerlines. Amazing to watch the climbers work! Immaculate clean-up afterward. We would hire them again without hesitation!"

"Devora tree service did an amazing job trimming our trees. We were concerned about our turf getting damaged during the process but, Jesus had said that the crews would lay down tarps to protect the turf and they did. They were there on time and cleaned up very well. I will definitely hire them again in the future."

"I was so impressed with Steven and his crew today. I just bought a new home and have a couple of projects that I needed completed and have spoken to various contractors on Home Advisor. These guys went above and beyond and I'm so happy with the job that they did on my two large silver maples. It was a big job, these trees have not been properly maintained in decades and they look wonderful and healthy now. I got 4 estimates and went with these guys because I thought Steven was a very knowledgable and sincere arborist and he gave me a great price compared to the others. His crew was friendly and cleaned up and those guys work really hard. I will absolutely use them in years to come to maintain my trees."

"Good communication and follow through, yard clean-up involved more branch removal than initially quoted - quick revised quote and completed the job the next day. Easy to work with!"

"Prompt response and able to do the project the same day and cleaned up everything including old branches at the end of the project. Might have taken a bit more off the branches than I’d like, but I’m no arborist and they certainly removed all the dead/non-leaf branches at a great price."

"Charles (Chase) trimmed a huge cottonwood tree at our vacation home. He took away all the dead branches and made the tree look like â  newâ  again!!! He was very professional and did excellent work. I appreciated how well he cleaned up the debris too. We hired him to trim the trees at our home on Littleton now and have recommended Chase and his services to all our neighbors and friends. Thank you Eden Tree Care!"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Light-bark trees are most notorious for producing lots of sap when wounded. These varieties include maples, birches, poplars, dogwoods, magnolias, and elms, and they will bleed more when the trees are dormant. That’s why it’s a good idea to prune them in the summer months rather than waiting until winter.

Cutting down a tree next to power lines is never a DIY job, and it’s a good idea to contact your utility company first. In most cases, the utility company will need to take care of any tree problems within 10 to 15 feet of power lines. If you want to remove the tree for aesthetic reasons, hire a pro to do the job. Trying to cut trees near power lines yourself can create many safety hazards, and you could be liable if you inadvertently cause damage to electrical equipment.

DIY is risky and not recommended for large trees; professional services ensure safe removal and proper disposal.

Tree roots can take weeks to years to die, depending on the method you use. Chemical herbicides take the least amount of time—typically between three and four weeks—while homemade methods, like covering an old stump with leaves, could take between seven and eight years. If you’re unsure which method to use or how quickly you need to act, consulting with a pro is always a good idea.

Tree trimming can count as landscaping, depending on how a landscaping business describes its services. Professional tree trimmers are more specialized than landscapers and offer trimming services separately from general landscaping.

When general landscaping companies offer tree trimming, look up the details. They usually mean shaping or seasonal trimming of ornamental trees, which is different from trimming larger trees for health or safety reasons. When possible, look for a licensed expert that specializes in trees and tree health.
