"We contacted Dale, at Colorado Pet Fence, this past Sunday morning, and he was at our home on Monday. My husband and I are long time customers of Invisible Fence, but when I contacted them earlier last week about a malfunction in our system resulting in our dogs escaping and the injury to one that required surgery, we were told the earliest they could respond would be almost a month away. When I commented on their lack of prompt customer service I was told there are many other people asking for service ahead of us. "offense that I spent a ton of money on with huge gaps between the fence and the ground. Offense that I had to spend another $500 on so it would keep my dogs in and two days of my labor to fix it. Offense with loose post the day they left people from the company even wiggled the post and said they may have to come back and fix it. Why wouldn't that be fixed to start with. my fence that I spent a ton of money on looks like crap, looks jerry-rigged. I stress to everyone that came to my house that this fence was for my dogs. I was told later I had a choice between the top rail looking good and flat or gaps between the fence. Apparently they did not understand the thousand times that I told them the most important thing about this fence was my dogs. If I wanted a pretty fence I would not had them put up a chain link fence."

We are a custom landscape installation and maintenance company with a wide range of services. Included are new installation, renovations, maintenance, lighting, irrigation, paver patios and walkways, retaining walls in almost any material, water features, snow removal, and more. We have 2 total employees ranging in experience from 20+ years down to 2 years. We do not use subcontractors for anything except gardening. We give free estimates which constitutes an initial consultation and estimate. Anything beyond a 1 hour consultation is billed at my hourly rate of $95, which would be rolled into the estimate should a customer contract work with us. We offer a 5% discount to Angies List members.

The frost line is the depth at which soil freezes during winter. By placing posts below this line, often around 3 to 4 feet deep or as recommended for your specific region, you reduce the risk of the ground shifting, which can lead to leaning or unstable fences. Adequate depth provides better anchoring and helps maintain the fence's integrity, ensuring it remains secure and upright throughout changing seasons.

Post depth for shadowbox fences should be at least two feet deep plus an additional foot for every foot of fence height above four feet. For a standard six-foot fence, this means a minimum depth of 3 feet. This depth helps to protect the structural integrity of your fence in the face of wind, soil movement, and seasonal ground shifts

If 20% or more of your fence is damaged, pros will often tell you that it’s a better use of your money to replace the fence entirely. Severe rotting and insect damage always call for a replacement.
