"They did a good job. They were able to come by my home when I was not there to do the work. They were very professional.  We had to work around the weather. It all seems to be working fine. He did send me a follow up email on what he did but I wish I could have talked to someone."

"Great work! Highroad Roofing is an honest, reliable company that not only finished their work in a timely manner, but took the time to make sure our house was protected during the job and the yard was picked up upon completion. Even our neighbors hired them after seeing the wonderful job they did for us."

"Josh and Omni Services did a great job refreshing the exterior of my home.  the bulk of the project took just over 3 days to complete.  Josh and his team did quality work and in my conversations with Josh, it is obvious that he cares about the quality of work he puts out.  He was also able to make some last minute adjustments to the project a few days before starting when I decided late to also replace the garage door.

Skylights questions, answered by experts

Roof windows and skylights can be installed on various roof materials, but skylights are usually the only option that you have if you have a flat roof or a roof with a slope under 15 degrees. In these cases, roof windows have too high of a risk of leaking to be suitable options. The specific installation requirements may vary, so it's important to hire a window replacement contractor. Certain types of roofs may not be ideal if they limit the size of the window or if they pose an issue with rainwater collecting around the area.

Pros of installing a skylight include the fact that you will get much more natural light in your home, skylights can make your room look bigger than it actually is, and your home may increase in value. Cons include difficult upkeep (you may have to get on a ladder to clean and maintain them), higher installation costs, and, potentially, too much heat gain from all the extra sunlight.

When planning out skylights and deciding how big they should be, it's important to look at the dimensions of the interior space. In addition to changing a room aesthetically, skylights influence the illumination and temperature of the space below. The U.S. Department of Energy recommends that a skylight’s size should never be more than 5% of the floor area in rooms with many windows.

Yes, skylights can affect a home’s energy efficiency, either positively or negatively. Properly installed, energy-efficient skylights with Low-E coatings, double glazing, and UV-blocking glass can help regulate indoor temperatures and reduce heating and cooling costs. However, poorly insulated or older skylights can contribute to heat loss in winter and excess heat gain in summer, lowering overall energy efficiency.

Installation typically takes 1-2 days, depending on the required roof type and structural modifications.
