"The work that was done well, was excellent-interior woodworking and flooring, windows and most doors. However, Blake Fullerton was almost never on site, there was a long succession of subs that never communicated with each other. The project should have taken 6-8 months; And I realize it was during Covid.. but It has now been 3 years and 5 months. Blake Fullerton refuses to communicate and has not honored his promise to take care of the very long punch list. (I have emails) The work that was done poorly, was atrocious - plumbing in all three bathrooms, , tile floors in the basement, missing hardware,. Much of which I found in the garage, after we ordered replacements. The HVAC system worked fine before the renovation, afterward, the returns on the top floor ( relocated ) and main levels (new) were installed, however, they did not connect to the HVAC return on the unit itselfâ ¦ A very large return was installed in the basement, and is the only return that works. Now it is necessary to have the basement door open at all times.. The sub that did the work was confused about the un-connected returns, and couldnâ t remember what he had doneâ ¦ The stone work down stairs was removed to make way for new windows and doors . Some was replaced by an apparently drunk worker (I found an empty 12 pack of Modelo in the trash bin) who did such a bad job that Blake Fullerton fired him after seeing the work and promised to have it done again properly. That never happened.. The takeaway is be very cautious with this contractor, stay onsite during your entire project, watch the subs like a hawk. And most of all, lower your expectations. Good luck."

I encourage the reader to thoroughly read this text since it has important context: I specialize in residential home wiring, meaning I know how to work with Romex and I received a basic introduction into industrial EMT conduit bending and conduit wiring. I have OSHA 10 General Industry, OSHA 10 General Construction and Safety certifications, as well as a forklift certification, driver's license, and other satellite certifications regarding tool and workplace safety. I'm also a licensed Technician Class amateur radio station operator who's studying for General Class operator, and lastly, I'm a drafter and CAD user (3+ years of experience). I graduated from the Wind River Job Corps trade school, located in Wyoming. My training lasted exactly 1 year. My most recent project was wiring a large residence and it passed inspection. I take education very seriously. I'm moving to Durango in mid August of 2024 to study engineering; I will be a full-time college student there. I'm looking for a more experienced electrician to get my foot in the door. I've applied for an electrician apprentice license in the state of Colorado in June, and it's pending supervision, which means that I must find a Master or equivalent to work under. I have strong reasoning that job listing websites such as LinkedIn, ziprecruiter, and equivalent, often look for an electrician Journeyman or equivalent who can work 40+ hours a week. I deemed it appropriate to make a profile for Angie's list so that I may have less sanctioned outreach to other electricians. Please note, if I'm going to work on a residence, then you must know that unless an electrician takes me under their wing, I cannot receive an electrician's apprentice license for the state of Colorado, which was what I expected long before finishing trade school. With this being said, please feel free to call or email me if you have any questions.

I specialize in remodeling; Demolition and removal of walls and flooring, to trim and paint. Everything between. I do some minor plumbing and electrical. Nothing that requires licensing, however. I've been in the construction industry for 13 years professionally. I've worked in steel framing, concrete, roofing, painting, wood framing, but I've been in remodels and carpentry for majority of my experience. I can do incredible things with wood and a saw.

Ev Charger Installer questions, answered by experts

You can use outdoor electrical outlets to conveniently power landscaping equipment such as electrical lawnmowers, leaf blowers, and pressure washers. From a recreational standpoint, outdoor outlets are handy for powering electric grills, mini-fridges, and stereos. They're also helpful when it's time to string Christmas lights on your home and around your property.

The cost of installing a 240-volt outlet for an electric car averages between $175 and $300. Depending on the type of outlet as well as labor costs, you might pay as little as $130 or upwards of $400. Hiring a professional electrician makes up the bulk of the expense but ensures a safe and code-compliant installation.

You can plug your electric car into a regular 120-volt household outlet only if you’re using a Level 1 charger. This method is slower and may take several days to fully charge your EV. For faster charging, you’ll need a Level 2 charger, which requires a 220- or 240-volt outlet.

Charging your EV every night isn’t always necessary. Most EVs have sufficient range to cover daily commutes without needing a nightly charge, particularly if you have a Level 2 charger. Charging once every few days or as needed can prolong the battery’s lifespan.

Yes, although there are different types of electricians, they must be licensed, certified, and in most cases insured. States have different requirements for electrician licensing and certifications. In some cases, there may be licensing requirements at the local level, but not the state level. It’s always a good practice to confirm requirements with your local municipality. If licensing is not required in your area, you may pay more for a licensed electrician with experience than one who is not licensed or certified, but you’re likely to get a better end result for your project.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

By submitting this question, I acknowledge and agree that Angi may publicly display my name, city, state, and question on the website for professionals and others to see.
