"Working with Rush security has been highly disappointing and mediocre at best. We had multiple missed appointments with their technician until I put my foot down and said I'd cancel service if they did not show up. He started to show up after that, but just for a couple days and in my opinion still did subpar work. At first, the alarm system would not register away, only "stay". Then the doorbell camera was constantly ringing even when no one was there. The motion detector also does not work. Next, we paid $400 for equipment and a $75 monthly monitoring. I wish I would just gone with Ring because they are cheaper but I wanted to support local. When we asked to cancel we were told we'd have to pay a 1400 cancellation fee to recoup the loss of having an electrician come out and for the 'low' $75 monitoring and to buyout the contract. Initially, we were told they offered no contract service, which was the only reason we went with them. I did the math and that 1400 fee would total out to about 1.5 years of subpar service. No thanks. We took the loss but you do not have to, go with someone else or just install your own alarm"

We are not your typical service provider we are not going to come in and take advantage of our customers like most electricians do, we don't believe in lying to or cheating our customers by making them think services are required when they are not necessary.

"I hired Everly Electrical Contracting to replace a GFCI breaker at our mountain home in Silverthorne, CO. The electrician originally scheduled the work for Sunday, June 8, but canceled late that afternoon. He rescheduled for Monday, completed the breaker replacement, and was professional during the visit. However, the breaker tripped again later that night. I contacted him Tuesday morning, and he agreed to return under the original service call. We scheduled a follow-up for Saturday morning between 9:30 and 11:30 AM, and he sent two confirmation emails. We drove up from Denver specifically for this appointment. Due to a traffic delay at the Eisenhower Tunnel, I texted him to let him know we were running about 10 minutes late. He responded that he was in the same traffic delay, which confirmed that we were still on track to meet. We arrived and waited at our house — but he never showed up. Despite multiple text messages and two voicemails, I received no further communication. This was a complete waste of our time and a highly unprofessional experience. The fact that he acknowledged the delay but then disappeared without explanation or follow-up makes it worse. Based on this, I would not recommend this contractor to others."

I encourage the reader to thoroughly read this text since it has important context: I specialize in residential home wiring, meaning I know how to work with Romex and I received a basic introduction into industrial EMT conduit bending and conduit wiring. I have OSHA 10 General Industry, OSHA 10 General Construction and Safety certifications, as well as a forklift certification, driver's license, and other satellite certifications regarding tool and workplace safety. I'm also a licensed Technician Class amateur radio station operator who's studying for General Class operator, and lastly, I'm a drafter and CAD user (3+ years of experience). I graduated from the Wind River Job Corps trade school, located in Wyoming. My training lasted exactly 1 year. My most recent project was wiring a large residence and it passed inspection. I take education very seriously. I'm moving to Durango in mid August of 2024 to study engineering; I will be a full-time college student there. I'm looking for a more experienced electrician to get my foot in the door. I've applied for an electrician apprentice license in the state of Colorado in June, and it's pending supervision, which means that I must find a Master or equivalent to work under. I have strong reasoning that job listing websites such as LinkedIn, ziprecruiter, and equivalent, often look for an electrician Journeyman or equivalent who can work 40+ hours a week. I deemed it appropriate to make a profile for Angie's list so that I may have less sanctioned outreach to other electricians. Please note, if I'm going to work on a residence, then you must know that unless an electrician takes me under their wing, I cannot receive an electrician's apprentice license for the state of Colorado, which was what I expected long before finishing trade school.
