Customers say: Quick response

"We had such a great experience with Cliff! He was super communicative with our project and got it done easily - and well within our timeline. He clearly has years of experience and really knew the right steps to take to tackle our project. We had him strip wallpaper off of the walls of some of the rooms in our home because we didn’t have the time or know-how to do it ourselves. Cliff came in and worked on it for us and made sure to clean up his work area every day. I was so glad that we didn’t have to live around a bunch of materials or debris while a room was being worked on, because he was so good about making sure everything was super neat at the end of the day. He was really easy to work with, very easy to get ahold of when we needed to, and overall impressed us with the quality of his work. Highly recommend."

"Stellar's crew did a great job. I have some fairly old siding on my house and it needed a good coat of paint to protect it. They did a great job prepping the house, scraping any peeled paint, sealing all the joints, and using the peel bond where needed. The finish product came out great. Great coverage and clean lines. Would highly recommend them to anyone."

"Doug and his team have worked on several projects in my home. Removing texture, wallpapering, painting cabinets and trim...the works. They recently painted my 15 year old hickory cabinets. They were really beat up. Doug s team made them look like new. I was nervous about painting - the durability for one and if it would be obvious that we painted vs getting new cabinets. The line of paint recommended to me has been fabulous between me and my kids we have scratched, scrubbed, kicked, colored on and overall been rough on these cabinets for several months now and not a chip. The finish is smooth and looks like a factory finish. The team was on time, polite, and I had no problems having them in my home for the several weeks it took to complete the extensive job. My attention to detail is above average and they were always happy to work to appease my nit picky requests. I had another painter lined up and likely could have spent a little less money...but the customer service and attention to detail was not there even during the planning phase. So back to Imhoff I went and man am I glad I did. They helped with color suggestions and found me a paint other than Ben Moore advance - which everyone uses on cabinets -including me (we have it in our office built in s) but it just isn t tough enough imo for a busy kitchen. Highly recommend!"

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

Once again, contact with moisture is the culprit here, though water-resistant varieties of wallpaper are less likely to become wet and develop mold. Using a high-quality exhaust fan or dehumidifier and leaving the doors or windows cracked after bathing will keep this issue at bay.

Wall panels offer functional and aesthetic benefits. From a practical standpoint, panels can improve your home's insulation and energy efficiency, especially if you opt for solid wood panels. They can also help protect your existing wall.

Aesthetically, wall panels have a knack for adding dynamic texture, warmth, and sophistication to a room. And thanks to their many different shapes, sizes, and styles, wall panels can elevate a wide variety of home designs.

Finally, it’s relatively easy to cover wall panels, so you have some flexibility if you end up not liking the look over time.

You shouldn’t need extra adhesive for peel-and-stick backsplash tile. The adhesive on the back of the tile sheets should do the trick. However, if you experience issues with the tile peeling or falling off, make sure the wall you’re working on isn’t textured, as that can prevent the materials from properly adhering.

One of the biggest downsides to peel-and-stick wallpaper is that it doesn't last as long as traditional wallpaper. Its lifespan depends on several factors, including the quality of the paper, proper wall preparation and application, and the room's conditions. As a general rule, peel-and-stick wallpaper can last for at least five years, but this can vary significantly. Budget products may only last about 3 years, while higher-quality products can stay up for 7 years or more in ideal conditions. Factors that can shorten its lifespan include high humidity (such as in a bathroom), dirty walls, and low-quality paper. If used on flooring, expect it to last only 1 to 3 years unless sealed. However, the shorter lifespan can be seen as a positive, making it a great choice for people who enjoy switching up their interiors more frequently.

While peel-and-stick wallpapers require no time to cure, the adhesives for other types of papers will take a day or two to dry and up to three weeks to fully cure. The differences are the type of paper, the type of adhesive, and the humidity and temperature in the space.
