33 years of experience

It all started with a single employee back in 1992. There was just the owner, Josh Broughton, a truck, and a simple fumigation system. Back then only cockroach extermination services were available. But as the years added on, other forms of insects were added onto the roster. Next was termites, as that usually merits fast response from homeowners. Nowadays Father and Son Pest Control can take on any problem no matter what the species.

First Choice Wildlife is a Nuisance Wildlife removal company taking care of Pigeons, Skunks, Rats, Bats, Raccoons, Squirrels, Mice, Flickers, Woodpeckers

"Jeremiah was courteous, thorough, conscientious, prompt and thoughtful. They followed up with a return to make sure all was done satisfactorily and reexamined all their work to plug up rodent entry sites. Price may seem high but their work deserves the remuneration."

Bird Control questions, answered by experts

While not common, bird’s nests can cause problems to your property in some cases.

  • Block vents for your dryer, stove, and fans, creating a fire hazard

  • Clog gutters and drains, leading to roof and siding damage

  • Damage solar panels

  • Wiring issues if the nest is on or near a light fixture

Costs range from $300 to $1,000, depending on the infestation size and removal method.

To keep animals out, you must prevent them from entering. As long as they can get in, the problem will persist. That said, consider making your attic less inviting using deterrents like motion-activated lights or ultrasonic devices. Additionally, keeping a well-maintained, clean, and uncluttered attic that you regularly inspect for activity may make the space less attractive to critters.

Keeping your pool cover clean is a good way to keep smaller animals from running across it or using it as shelter. Small animals may use leaf debris on top of the cover to hide. Cleaning also removes nuts that may fall from a nearby tree that could otherwise be a tempting snack for some animals, like squirrels.

You can take multiple approaches to keep animals out of your edible landscape. You can use natural repellents such as mint and cayenne pepper to deter them from your garden. You can also build a fence (or opt for a privet hedge) or keep the most enticing plants in a sectioned-off area. The most efficient method of keeping your four-legged guests at bay is to determine what animal it is and create a customized plan for them.
