"Awesome job! After being harassed by the HOA for a cracked driveway due to the builder cutting corners and not knowing how to pour a concrete driveway, we decided it was time to have the thing ripped out and replaced and done right. We also opted to install a new walkway on the side of the garage. When I was “shopping around” for concrete bids, I got a varied level of responses from different companies. Most were vague about what they were going to do but Robert was very clear about what was included in his estimate down to the thickness of the slab to the PSI of the concrete mix so there were no unknowns about what we were getting. Full tear out and haul off, road base, compaction, rebar for structural reinforcement, sealant — and he was the only one who suggested (preferred) installing a channel drain in the new side walkway instead of burying the downspout underneath. His attention to detail and knowledge put him at the top of my list, no doubt. Jacob and the crew were all extremely polite and friendly while they were on site doing the job. I don’t know if it’s intentional or not, but each of them made it a point to look me in the eye and greet me. Watching them work, it was clear that they are professionals and know what they’re doing. Most people might take pouring laying concrete for granted, but when you watch professionals do it, it’s clear that it’s an art form. When Rob Sr. came out to seal everything, he too was incredibly friendly and professional. This is a quality run organization with top notch staff who do an incredible job. My only regret is that this driveway is so good, it will likely outlast me and I might never need to hire these guys again, so you definitely should!"

"I finally contacted Peter from 5280 SealCoating through Angie's List's messaging. He responded to me almost immediately, and was over to give me an estimate exactly when he said he would be here. As we were analyzing the current asphalt, he pointed out to me why it was in such bad shape (the previous installation was too thin, without a good road base underneath). The initial estimate was right in the price range I was shooting for, but I was worried about drainage and some issues, and we decided to do the job right. With the leveling, a thicker coat of asphalt, adding the road base, and adjusting the grading for drainage, the price pushed up a bit beyond what I was thinking, but it was also good to do it right instead of having to redo it in a few years. The crew showed up exactly as scheduled, and Peter was on site the entire time, making sure it was being done as we had discussed. I appreciated his knowledge, and how he conveyed to me the differences between a cheap job and a quality job, and his very thorough explanation of the maintenance procedures for the future. One other note about the service, I was also getting my roof replaced the same day as the asphalt installation, because of weather-related schedules being shuffled. (Note the gutters being replaced in the attached photo). The asphalt crew and roofing crew worked together perfectly to make sure neither was stepping on the other's toes. That was a great example of how 5280 SealCoating is focused on customer service. I look forward to having them do the seal coating on the driveway in the spring, and using them for further maintenance in the future! Finally, I found a company that didn't give me the runaround!"

"Eli and his crew did excellent work replacing and pouring a new 3-car driveway and portions of two sidewalks at our home. At our request, Castanon Concrete replaced a 4-inch driveway slab (with nonstructural concrete) with a 6-inch pour using structural concrete. Our old driveway was poorly prepared, causing the old, non-compacted subsoil to be very muddy. Eli removed more soil, added more than the expected amount of road base, laid a grid using a ½ inch rebar, and also tied it into the foundation. They invested significant time to properly compact the subsoil and road base before the new pour. One portion of the sidewalk needed special care and skill to replace. The old walk was pitched incorrectly, and it also was located about 1 inch away from our A/C unit. The crew was especially careful to not disturb the A/C during removal and create a new pitch to drain moisture away from our foundation. At our request, the crew did an exceptional job with clean-up. The muddy worksite was a challenge. Eli and his crew power-washed the entire area (curbs, gutters, sidewalk, and a significant portion of the street). And to finish up, the crew invested a lot of time picking up even small debris, and they reinstalled the 1 ½ inch crushed granite rock bordering our new driveway. Eli said his goal was to install a new, high-quality driveway without people even knowing it was a construction zone hours earlier. Castanon Concrete did precisely that. I highly recommend Eli and Castanon Concrete; they went out of their way to meet and surpass our needs."
