Customers say: Quality work

"The job I had Carl to do for me was very big. He added a 750 sqft sunroom addition onto the front of my home, tying into the existing roof and matching existing stucco. I also had him reroof my whole home and add a covered walk tying into a shed that hadn't been delivered yet. It turned out beautiful. He did a great job and kept the cost within budget. I'm very happy with his workmanship and customer service, especially when faced with a problem. I'd definitely recommend him. He's easy to work with too. The job may have taken longer than expected, but when all of the building materials get delayed because a major hurricane diverts the entire country's supply chain to storm damaged areas, there's not much that can be done to overcome that but wait. Carl is straightforward and dependable. Overall, the finished work is excellent; you can't even tell that the room is an addition from the inside or the outside of the house. If I do have any problems (which I don't expect to), I know that I can count on Carl to come and address them. He's trustworthy and cares about his work. That's rare. No need to look further, he's the guy for your job. His subcontractors on my job were excellent too. The roofers were the only ones I had any trouble with, but Carl addressed the problem without question. Thanks Carl!! I'll call you first for future projects!"

"Austin and Jessica with Bulldog Built LLC recently completed a roofing project on our home, and we couldn?t be happier with the results. From the beginning, they were professional, honest, and extremely hardworking. They communicated clearly, showed up when they said they would, and treated our property with care. Austin?s construction knowledge and attention to detail were evident throughout the project. He took the time to explain options, answer questions, and ensure everything was done correctly and to code. The quality of the workmanship is excellent, and our home looks significantly improved. We hired them to replace the siding on our house. It?s clear that Bulldog Built takes pride in doing things the right way. We would not hesitate to hire them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, skilled contractors.""

"He remolded both my kitchen and master bathroom. He worked hard and was as careful and clean as anyone could be with all the tiles and wood cutting. His recommendations for both kitchen and bathroom items were right on the mark and added style to what I wanted. Hand built a bookcase/nick knack shelf unit to replace a rail between kitchen and 2 ft drop into living room. He did a beautiful job . The Nick knack side had varied shelf, cubby sections so 8 sections all had different size spaces. It was my design, and he did a wonderful job even though it was labor intensive. Kitchen: Stone tile backsplash, new floor, new counter tops, took out a small cupboard unit to make room for a utility cupboard and built a shelf over it to continue the style of the kitchen. Replaced light . Bathroom: Completely replaced shower, floor to ceiling tile for shower, barn door closure and old water pipes needed new joints and pluming. Found and replaced a leak problem which had supposable been repaired 3 time in previous years. Sanded and restrained bathroom cupboards, new sink, new lights, and bathroom fan."

Barndominium Builders questions, answered by experts

This answer varies based on where you are, but most states require that all homes are greater than 320 square feet. Remember that four walls are not the only requirements—windows, closet space, minimal ceiling heights, and indoor air quality are also factors. Each state and municipality differs, though, and as some don’t consider tiny homes permanent shelters, you’ll need to check to ensure you aren’t violating any local or state laws with your build.

The most common slope, or roof pitch, for a shed is 4:12 or four inches of height for every horizontal foot. For areas that experience heavy snow loads, a steeper roof of 6:12 or 9:12 is best.

Trex is not stronger than wood, but it lasts longer than wood and is heavier. Trex holds up well to the elements and is resistant to termites thanks to its resilient composition of plastic, reclaimed wood, and sawdust. Trex decking is rot and warp-resistant, making it especially useful in areas that experience a lot of snow and rain.

Yes, barndominiums are energy-efficient as long as insulation professionals properly install quality insulation, windows, and doors. Utility bills for barndo living can be up to 50% lower than those for a traditional home.  Make your barndo more energy efficient by working with contractors and HVAC professionals to strategically place windows, doors, and heating/cooling systems.

While building a treehouse isn’t necessarily a death sentence, damaging the trunk is one of the ways to kill a tree. If you’re concerned about the tree, opt for a treehouse support system rather than attaching it directly to the trunk. This may involve using bolts and brackets to affix the structure to the tree's branches or establishing a standalone support system that remains unattached to the tree.
