"Rebekah did an incredible job! She and her crew went out of their way to make sure the surface was very clean before sealing which was difficult due some wind gusts that blew pine needles etc. onto surfaces she had cleaned. I had damage to my driveway due to a delevery truck. She explained what steps she would take to fix the damage, which another bidder said he couldn't fix. In addition 3 neighbors hired her at the same time after talking with both contractors that gave bids. Her bids were in line with the other bids. I highly recommend this company and my neighbors were all very pleased. Professional curtious and very pleasant to work with. John L Manitou Springs"

"Ricky and his team provided us with a DETAILED bid, that included the entire process. During the installation they noticed a portion of our lot that was very unstable and had more then average amount of sand. They brought in equipment, dug it out about 8-10 inches and dumped a truckload of road base. They did not ask me for any additional funds but wanted to make sure we did not have any problems down the road! We will only use Surface Solutions for all of our Asphalt needs."

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

Driveway aprons typically range between four and seven inches thick, though your town's building codes will likely have specific requirements. Additionally, you may need to add a layer of permeable aggregate in the excavation below your paved apron to ensure proper stormwater drainage.

Professionals ensure a solid base and smooth finish, enhancing durability and appearance.

Asphalt, which is stone mixed with tar, is the most common material for outdoor basketball courts because it’s so sturdy and versatile. However, you don't have to use it: another option is polymeric rubber, which has shock pads that can prevent injury. This option is a little more expensive, ranging between $16 and $25 per square foot.

Materials used for indoor basketball courts, such as hardwoods, aren’t really an option outdoors.

With proper maintenance, asphalt milling driveways can last 30 years or more. Over time, you’ll need to regularly sealcoat your driveway. You should also have your driveway inspected every few years and make any repairs as soon as they are necessary; this will prolong the lifespan of your driveway.

Cobblestone is just one of many driveway materials. Other, more economical, albeit less elaborate options include concrete, asphalt, and gravel.

If you want a material that most closely resembles cobblestone, your best option is bricks or pavers. Both cost anywhere from $10 to $50 per square foot and can be laid in all kinds of patterns. Depending on the type of paver you choose, you can also get a good bang for your buck by investing in durable natural stone.
