"We hired Granite Peak Home Inspections to perform an inspection on our home. The owner of the company was great to work with! He was very thorough in his assessment of our home and very kindly shared his findings with us. If you’re looking for a home inspection to be performed, I recommend Granite Peak! They will put your mind at ease before buying, selling, or renovating your home. Highly recommend!"

"The inspector overwhelmed my expectations in that he went way beyond the work which I wanted done. Example, I called him to inspect one bathroom. At no extra charge, he inspected the kitchen and two other bathrooms. He also educated me of many items of which I was ignorant. The time which he spent here, as well, way surpassed my expectations. He is quite polite to boot."

"Dustin and Troy came to our new house in Weiser to inspect our roof and talk about its condition and what we might do or not do. They showed up on time, which made me happy. They seemed to be polite and energetic young men. They explained what they were going to do and then they did it. After inspecting the roof, they came inside crawl through the attic taking pictures. They told us what they found and what we needed to do if we want toâ no pressure, no gimmicks, and so far no problems. We decided to replace the roof, so Dustin took us through the whole process of what, when, how much, and did it with a smile! Troy was there to keep Dustin in line and make sure he got it right. Both men were pleasant to work with, and fun to talk to. They seemed to know their business, and as I have been in construction most of my life, I was happy."

"This is a small family owned business that cares about your family's health. They treated my house and they did an amazing job. My oldest son has asthma and now he can breath. No more headaches. They kept me updated all throughout the process and checked in after they left. Thank you pure maintenance!! They're the best!"

Home Inspection questions, answered by experts

No, home improvement loan rates typically do not drop during certain times of the year. Interest rates go up and down based on economic conditions rather than on the time of the year. Some banks may offer slight rate discounts around the same holidays every year, but this is a marketing decision rather than a decision based on the time of the year. If you want to use a home improvement loan to fund your remodeling project, the best option is to shop around at different banks for the best rates.

Modular homes can go up or down in value depending on a few factors. In areas where real estate is appreciating, the value of modular homes is likely to increase, and vice versa. Additionally, the value of modular homes depends partially on the area. In cities where every other home is stick-built, modular homes might be considered a functional obsolescence, in which case they could be less desirable and go down in value. In either case, though, modular homes can still be a good investment, especially since they provide housing at a lower upfront cost.

Stucco should be inspected yearly or every few years, depending on where you live. Stucco homes in wet or humid climates are at higher risk for damage and should be inspected once per year. Homes in drier climates can wait longer between inspections, and get one every three years or so.
