Customers say: True professional

"Leo was very helpful and quick to respond. We’re happy with how our 2 bathrooms turned out. Project was completed within the time promised. Our only complaint is that the workers did not clean up very well. But overall, we’re satisfied and we’ll use them again."

"We took advantage of the LADWP turf removal rebate and we LOVE our new landscaping!
First- I want to say my husband was all gung ho about the rebate and removal, however , I was very hesitant and anxious and not sure we were doing the right thing because I really loved the grass.
After a serendipitous meeting with Dennis at a Resource fair,  checking his
referrals and visiting other sites he worked on , we finally went ahead
with it. We had a shoe string budget and his bid was fair and
reasonable-even with changes we made along the way.
He submitted the rebate for us and we started the week after approval notification.
He knows what is needed for the pictures and work to be done.
Dennis has a great aesthetic sense and really understood our concerns and
listened to our desires. It was an evolving project as we had a few
different ideas and changed a bit of the plans along the way and his
suggestions were terrific .
He has so much passion and vision and really cared that we were happy as the job went along.
Basically, he held my hand every step of the way- as I had so many concerns and
fears that it wasn't going to be something I would really like- but it
went very smoothly.  We touched base often as the work continued and
always got back to me when I contacted him. And he was very flexible !
His crew were great guys, considerate, respectful, always on time and
always cleaned up after the day's work. Always so friendly and such hard
workers.
We visited a garden center with Dennis and  went over
the plants we really liked so he had a really good feel for what we
wanted -He was very knowledgeable
about the plants that would and would not work for our space. - and then we let him create.
And create he did!
He used drought tolerant plants, flagstones, gravel, decomposed granite,
mulch, broken concrete as I love seeing different textures and
materials.
We loved working with Dennis to create a beautiful
back yard!  We're so thankful to him and glad it's over - now time for
entertaining!

Holiday Decorating questions, answered by experts

Repairing a strand of Christmas lights will save you a few dollars and the hassle of going to the store to purchase new ones. That may or may not be enough to make fixing them worth it to you. However, if the lights are already hanging or around the tree, removing and replacing them is far more time-consuming than performing a quick repair job.

First of all, don’t shop for bargain lights—often, you’ll end up with a faulty or broken strand, full of dead bulbs or less-than-luminous brightness. Choose quality lights that will last you many years—LED lights have been known to last as long as 100,000 hours. Second, plan ahead and purchase lights for next year’s Christmas during this year’s post-holiday sales. Finally, have a vision and a plan—if you know the measurements of your home, including any windows, doors, and outside bushes you wish to light up, you should be able to only purchase the necessary lights and not more than you need.

If you need to visually inspect your Christmas lights to determine which are good and which need replacement, there are a few things to look for. First, look for discoloration, such as a dark spot or two on the inside of the glass. The spot is an indication of a burnt filament. Also, look for missing filaments, cracked bulb glass, and broken sockets.

It’s not a good idea to mix LED and incandescent Christmas lights if you can avoid it. LEDs and incandescents can have significantly different electrical current needs. This difference can lead to a higher risk of problems and failure for both light strands. When possible, switch all your lights over to one kind or the other for the best results. Do not connect the different types of light strings to each other, and avoid linking them to the same circuit.

Considering the pros and cons of hiring a professional holiday light installer can help you decide if it’s right for you. Here are some advantages and disadvantages:

Pros

  • Saves time

  • Reduces stress

  • Produces for custom, high-quality designs

  • Provides better-quality lights

  • Reduces personal safety risks

  • May Include takedown and storage services

Cons

  • More expensive than DIY light installation

  • Less control over the design

  • High demand for installers

  • Contractors may keep the lights and decorations
