"This was a small landscaping job for placing ribbon/ synthetic grass between concrete that was already poured. The team was fast, friendly professional, and gave a great price. They did an amazing job! I highly recommend for any of your landscaping needs."

Small jobs welcome

"Paul and his sons poured 2 slabs around my house. The work was completed on time and looked great. They went out of their way to see to it that the little things were not forgotten. They were friendly helpful and left the property clean when the job was completed. I would recommend Paul and his 2 sons to anyone that needs concrete work done."

"They were busy due to the response to the deal. Chris the owner was terrific to deal with. The employee who he sent out, he was an hour and a 15 minutes late after the scheduled time with no call. He was a nice guy and he did a once over sealing. There were some repairs and chips I wanted him to look at, which the deal stated they would. He did not re-seal behind the sink and he did not clean or seal the strip being the stove top either, so I did that myself. This company was accommodating and responsiveness to schedule changes."

"We all get into home projects with best intentions to get it ‘the best’. We meet several people, looked at few completed projects and fall in love with what we saw from Nir. With the cost of kitchen remodeling project, we wanted to make sure that everything will be smooth and no less than perfect. Unfortunately not always things go right and when that happens, the most important things is how things gets handled. This act is what really highlight any company from all the others. What happened to us was that after purchasing the floors, we had some issues with the materials when they arrived which was totally out of ‘BE GREEN BUILDERS’ control. The scale of the aggravations, the attention and the outstanding service we got from Nir was the best and never wavered. He did everything possible to resolve all the issues in a timely manner. Besides that…the kitchen project went smooth and not only that we got a high-quality kitchen which is absolutely gorgeous but it is also perfect. When we write ‘perfect’ we mean a company that is so committed to going above and beyond for their clients."

"We were looking for someone who could rehab our front courtyard cement. The cement itself was sound (no cracks breaks, etc.) but it was badly stained and faded. One other contractor said the only thing we could do was tear it all out and pour new concrete, which was way out of our budget. He pretty much poo-poohed the idea of staining the concrete, saying he'd "never seen a good stain job." I found Ryan on Angies List, called him and he came right over. he showed me photos of other staining jobs he had done, both interior and exterior, and they looked great. He answered my questions about durability and how long we could expect the staining to last before we had to rehab it and  provided me with a precise written estimate that same day. Ryan and his crew showed up as scheduled and did a terrific job. Ryan was there himself for most of the job to supervise things and his crew was very thorough. They prepped the concrete and added some texture to make it look like tile or slate and then applied the color. Once we approved the final color, they applied the sealer and it looked fantastic! We can't wait to put down our patio furniture and plants. The only problem is, the concrete looks so good, we may have to buy new patio furniture because now the old stuff looks so crappy!  I would strongly recommend Ryan and Monarch Construction in Temecula for anyone who is tired of looking at old faded and stained concrete whether indoors or outside. They have the expertise and experience to breath new life into the old concrete, they're honest and punctual and their prices are very fair.  Exceptional value and quality service - about as good as it gets."

"Edwin Monroe is a very courteous and polite person.  He was always prompt and if he was running late, would always call ahead to let me know.  My wife and I were remodeling our house.  We needed to demolition one of our existing rooms to build two new bedrooms.  Although Edwin doesn't do demo work, he proved us with Fred's Hauling who did an excellent job.  Edwin, working with my general contractor, then proceeded to form the foundation area.  It took alot of work:  digging and then building the forms.  Edwin's crew consisted of hard-working men who worked in upper 90's to 100 degree temps.  They almost always left a clean work site at the end of day.  (I dare anyone to find a contractor and his crew who is 100% clean!)  We didn't  pass our first LADBS inspection.  Edwin and my GC misread the prescriptives (building codes) provided by the LADBS.  The foundation needed to be dug out another 8"!  This after the forms had already been built!  It added another 3 days worth of work and of course the original estimate cost went up.  I wasn't happy.  However, Edwin's crew kept working.  In the end, the Building Inspector came out and approved the work.  The concrete was then poured and the foundation looks beautiful.  As a side job, Edwin poured a concrete pad to my already existing patio.  This was a small job in comparison to the foundation work.  I had colored concrete that I told Edwin to try and match as best he could. We both decided on a color.  Edwin's crew built a form and poured colored concrete the same day our foundation was being done.  This job came out beautifully, too!  I was nervous about the new concrete color matching our six year old concrete, but it looks fantastic.  Overall, I'm very happy with Edwin's company.  Despite the mistakes made with the codes and not getting passed initially on our inspection, Edwin tried to be as fair as he could when he had to raise the price of the first estimate.  He is a fair and decent man with an extremely hard working crew.  I wholeheartedly recommend his company.

Concrete Cutting questions, answered by experts

It will likely take an experienced pro less than an hour to install a ground rod, which is another reason why letting them handle the job is such a good idea. Safety concerns aside, it would likely take you much longer to install a ground rod if you decided to take this one as a DIY job.

Sawing your hot tub into more manageable chunks so it can be lifted easily into a truck takes several hours. Generally, 2.5 hours for smaller hot tubs and around 4 hours for larger ones with the help of one to two people. If money isn't a concern and you want to skip the physical labor, you can hire a pro to get the job done.

Since water heaters are primarily made of metal, they’re commonly accepted by scrap yards and collectors. Don’t expect to fetch a high price, though—water heaters are mostly steel and aluminum, which aren’t high-value metals. Some components are made of more valuable metals, like brass and copper, but they’re a small portion of the heater and won’t affect the price much.

Yes, you can use a saw to cut metal pipes. The best saw to use is a reciprocating saw, but even a fine-tooth hacksaw can get the job done. No matter which saw you use to cut metal pipes, wear protective gear, like work gloves, safety goggles, and ear plugs. Apply a firm, steady pressure to the tool, and always ensure the pipes are secured so they don't move while you make the cuts.

The cost to weld aluminum averages about $14 to $22 per pound. The type of metal factors into the overall cost of any welding project due to the cost of the materials and the expertise required to work with it. Some of the most common metals used by welders include:

  • Magnesium alloy: $7–$16 per pound

  • Low-carbon steel: $11–$12 per pound

  • Stainless steel: $13–$15 per pound

  • Copper/brass: $24–$29 per pound

  • Cast iron: $38–$79 per pound

  • Titanium: $60–$85 per pound
