"I recently had a cabinet constructed by Cabinet Construction, and I am very pleased with the results. The craftsmanship was excellent, and the attention to detail was outstanding. The cabinet was built to my exact specifications and looks great in my home. The customer service was also top-notch, and they were very helpful in answering any questions I had. I would highly recommend HY Global for any cabinet construction needs."

"We called several contractors for refacing our kitchen and bathroom cabinets, replacing countertops, and adding a couple of new cabinets. I have to say the experience was very frustrating until we got a call from Liberty Woodworking. Tom Hughes (owner) was by far the most professional, fully explaining every step of the process, including options and suggestions to optimize our storage space and $'s. We had estimates from 4-5 companies, most told us they could not do several of the things we wanted. Liberty exceeded our expectations in quality of products, design and installation experience. Tom's price was by far the best and included much more than other were offering. Tom Birch was our installer, it was a pleasure to have him in our home the the entire week during the installation. Tom was friendly & super conscientious making sure everything was done perfectly. By the time the job was complete we felt as though he was a friend we would welcome in our home any time. Thank you Tom & Tom, we are extremely pleased with our new kitchen and bathroom, we have so much more space, everything is so much nicer."

"Paul is an amazing craftsman. The quality of his workmanship and attention to detail is rare in this day an age. He completed two separate cabinet projects in our home. We continuously get compliments on these cabinets. His pricing is spot on for the custom cabinets that he produces for his customers. I highly recommend Paul for anyone wanting custom cabinets done right, plus he stands behind all his workmanship and installations. If there are any problems, a phone call to Paul and he comes back to fix it. Paul is easy to work with and has great design ideas. We would definitely hire him again. Thank you Paul !"

"Initially, I made a big mistake and hired an unlicensed contractor to do the epoxy flooring in my garage. After a few weeks, it started coming up and just got worse and worse as time passed. I found Specialty Design on Angi, The owner came out, took one look, groaned, and explained that he'd have to remove it but that, in the end, I'd have a beautiful garage floor. And he was right! I'd highly recommend Specialty Design."

Cabinet Contractors questions, answered by experts

Using a shim or another type of self-leveling feet on the bottom edge of your cabinet bases will help to level them out if you’re installing them on a less-than-level surface. To make this process easier, you can add your shims before attaching the bases to your cabinets while they’re still light and easy to move around.

Whether you install flooring before or after kitchen cabinets depends primarily on the type of flooring you are using. For materials like hardwood, tile, and sheet flooring, the best practice is to install the flooring first. This ensures the cabinets are installed at the correct height and on a stable surface. However, you should not install cabinets on top of floating floors, such as laminate or luxury vinyl plank (LVP). These types of flooring need room to expand and contract with temperature and humidity changes. Placing heavy cabinets on top can restrict this movement, potentially causing the floor to buckle and making the cabinets unstable. For floating floors, install the cabinets first and then lay the flooring up to them. Other reasons to consider installing cabinets before the flooring include saving money on materials (since you won't need flooring under the cabinets) and avoiding potential damage to your new floor during cabinet installation. Additionally, installing cabinets directly on the subfloor might prevent voiding your flooring's warranty.

Installation typically takes 2-3 days, depending on the kitchen size and preparation needed.

No, and that’s why adding kitchen cabinets to the ceiling is popular! Whether you match the color of your existing cabinets or not, you can still paint your cabinet boxes with them attached to the wall—making this project much less invasive.

Solid wood is the most common material for cabinet bases. It’s a popular choice because it’s durable and will hold up over time. Oak, maple, cherry, hickory, and pine are all types of solid wood that can be used to build cabinet bases. Other options include plywood, medium-density fiberboard, and other types of manufactured lumber, but they need to be sealed properly to avoid swelling, separating, and delamination from moisture.
