As part owner and designer, Nathan comes to discuss your goals and holds your hand through the whole planning process if you want. Mike, also part owner of Pristine, is on the job everyday making sure everything looks perfect. Their crew is top notch skilled. Attention to detail is a hallmark of Pristine's crew as well as regarding Mike's and Nathan's expertise. Cooperation and responsiveness from our first meeting and initial plans, throughout construction, and when needing changes makes working with Pristine very easy. Pristine's positive approach in pleasing its customers and offering overall and detailed suggestions makes this company especially great. The crew was here promptly everyday, so unlike the horror stories one hears. Scheduling is well planned and efficient. "I am very pleased with the work done by Hic builders. Our initial contact was Josef. He came out and gave us a fair price to replace a wood fence, patio cover, and deck. Materials were sourced and brought in without delay despite supply shortages. My dad is a civil engineer and he noted the wood to be of good quality. He and his workers showed up daily, on-time until the project was completed. Every day the work area was left tidy and cleaned up. We live in a townhome. The only access to the backyard is through the front door and living area. His team covered our furniture and flooring. We will definitely call on Hic Builders in the future and recommend others to do the same."

"Nathan impressed from the time I first met him. He was far more professional than other contractors in terms of describing how his company works and what I should expect if I worked with him. He also has a nice showroom where you can look a variety of cabinets in different styles and colors as well as countertops. We ended up getting a countertop that he suggested. We would never had picked it on our own but it ended up looking amazing in our kitchen. We had him do a complete remodel of our kitchen and one of our bathrooms. The guys on his crew were always prompt and showed up as scheduled. His foreman was both a good communicator and listener. Whenever we ran into an unexpected issue, they communicated clearly what additional costs would be involved (if any) and how much additional time it might take. The cabinets he installed were custom made but did not cost more than the pre-fab ones you can buy at the large home improvement stores. They are of high quality and well constructed. I actually saw his cabinet guy using a small caliper to make sure the door distances from the cabinets were all even! Lastly...here's something you'll never hear about a contractor...he finished AHEAD of time! Nathan's company are straight shooters and very skilled craftsmen. I would work with them again."

When we were in the market for a general contractor to build our two-bedroom/two-bath ADU in San Marino, we interviewed several general contractors. Mike Maman of MF Construction was one of them. Mike showed us several of his projects as well as his own custom home. We were extremely impressed with the end results. After reviewing several competitive bids, we selected Mike because of his 40+ years of experience in building high-quality homes. During the construction of our ADU, Mike was just a text or phone call away. He kept us informed of upcoming events and visited our job site almost daily, sometimes more than once a day. He was present at all 12 of the City inspections. Every step along the way, we noted the high quality of materials Mike uses from the Ganahl lumber to the thick insulation and roofing paper to the copper pipes and shower hot mop, and mold-resistant drywall. Mike uses materials which meets or exceeds code requirements. Everyone on Mike’s team is extremely skilled in his/her craft, many having worked with him for decades. Mike is old school and does not take any shortcuts. Along with high quality construction and materials, Mike is extremely efficient. Our ADU was completed in four months, as promised. "With our 350ft new room addition, Olympia Construction did try to sit down with us to work with our budget, give us free rein on what fixtures we would like to put in, and give us input and advice on design, I just wish Ryanâ  s shared more of his expertise in the areas where we unknowledgeable like light fixtures choices before installing. There were some disagreements and unclear objectives which should addressed in the contract. Make sure all the measurements are on point and everything you want is in the contract, including if you want them there at the work site at least every working week day. Lock in your completion date. His foreman was great. Overall it was a nice experience."
